bibinou··on France grants citizenship to 12,000 Covid frontline workers
it's 12000 in a year, not 12000 this week:

"Un an après son lancement, 16 381 dossiers ont été déposés en préfecture sur l’ensemble du territoire français et 12 012 étrangers sont devenus Français" from the first link in the article:

Ah. Modern Times.
bibinou··on Things I wish someone told me about getting a promotion
European job hoppers I know ended up in the Valley or fully remote.
bibinou··on Getting High-Speed Rail Wrong
Not really, the high-speed line was supposed to connect to Spain and Toulouse and the beaches of courses (it's not named LGV SEA for nothing).

Fresno is a county seat and there's Cal State. That's it.

Same in France, every local baron wanted his dedicated HS line, so now we got plenty but only one is profitable.

bibinou··on Chrome zero-day released on GitHub – fixed on V8 but still works on latest
If it's got a fix it's not a zero-day.
bibinou··on European Urbanism and High-Speed Rail
The article missed the entire point that the LGV Sud-Est branches out not to small cities, but to the beach and the French Alps. I doubt Cincinnati or Knoxville are as attractive as Grau-du-Roi or Megève.
bibinou··on Spotify continues to remove Joe Rogan episodes
Seems like it's regulars getting nixed.

Maybe they asked for a cut of the money?

bibinou··on How to Learn Complex Things Quickly: A Guide
Their shtick is Inbound Marketing, making clients come to you.

Spamming blogposts on HN works really well for that. Works even better if it's good blogposts.

edit: Dan Lyons (Fake Steve Jobs) wrote a book on his time there.
