besnn00··on Show HN: White Label Any Webpage
From what I gather this can be abused to steal websites. Very cool concept though.
besnn00··on [dead]
If they are (I don't know how you would integrate "typing"), you would still have to learn them.
besnn00··on How to fuck up an airport
While I agree with your thought, I think a little verbal restraint would be better. Profanities add nothing of substance to discussions.
besnn00··on Vim 9.0
That would potentially make NeoVim slower, because you could have plugins that use Lua, plugins that use VimL and others that use Vim9. That means 3 runtimes which can contribute to latency.
besnn00··on Fifty Cent Party
Reminds me of the “deep blue” term, which is similar to this one only deep blue agents operate outside the internet as well.
besnn00··on Simple Dungeon Map Generation
Reminds me of Guild of Dungeoneering
besnn00··on BookCrossing
I like this initiative. We have two BookCrossing locations in my town in Tuscany and I myself have come across a few hidden gems.
besnn00··on Show HN: I made a movie recommendation app based on your mood
Question: how does the app decide which movie corresponds to a certain mood?
besnn00··on China’s TikTok Limits Young Users to 40 Minutes a Day
So they’ll log out, right?
besnn00··on The Descent to C (2013)
Never thought pointers could expire, but it makes sense.
besnn00··on A Brief Introduction to Nanothaumaturgy
Should have posted this on April Fools.
besnn00··on Programming Idioms
reposting is permitted while unnoticed if not done too often (once in two weeks would be ok imo)
besnn00··on Programming Idioms
as far as I saw they were pretty useless and the way they were presented wasn't that great (same language variants could be grouped in one commented section)
besnn00··on Rebracketing
the level -> nivel one blew my mind
besnn00··on Ask HN: CompSci or SoftEngi?
You are generally correct. One is more likely to land a job while they are studying SoftEng than their CompEng counterpart (my experience and observation).
besnn00··on Editing a 1GB File at 3000fps
I think it is to say ‘it is fast’.
besnn00··on Nepalese student learns HTML, JavaScript, CSS using just a mobile phone
I've dreamt in bash-like, but in my defense it was kind of a fever dream.
besnn00··on More than 8% of American adults are millionaires
Why is it survivor bias?
besnn00··on The Powder Toy
Powder Game was what got me into Powder Toy
besnn00··on What If Regulating Facebook Fails?
The EU is a blessing.
besnn00··on Ask HN: What do you wish your education system taught you?
Off the top of my mind so a bit random: * the tax system * (more in-depth) anatomy and nutrition * interpersonal ethics * practical/exploratory math
besnn00··on Zero Knowledge
Wouldn’t say solid as it was a bit laymanish
besnn00··on Medical Debt Is a Uniquely American Problem
So is College Debt. USA feels like a dystopia to me when it comes to many things.
besnn00··on Show HN: Find Your Hacker News Doppelgänger
Where there is a will, there is a way!

Really you should just start doing it and eventually you will get there; no such thing as not clever enough.

besnn00··on Vinix, a new OS written in V, now runs mlibc and bash
Not as extreme as 3
besnn00··on Ask HN: How come we haven't got rid of clickbaits in 2021?
I miss the web of 2012. It was so good: modern, yet didn’t make old sites look ancient. Loved the aesthetics of older Facebook (as compared to the minimal trash we have now), but that is personal.
besnn00··on Cool things I learned about Bash this week
Isn't zsh the default shell of MacOS?
besnn00··on Rai Stones
“The ownership of a large stone, which would be too difficult to move, was established by its history as recorded in oral tradition, rather than by its location. Thus a change of ownership was effected by appending the transfer to the oral history of the stone.”

The original blockchain.

besnn00··on Airbnb is spending millions of dollars to make nightmares go away

besnn00··on Try APL
Makes sense because some special functions were meant to be expressed as a combination of symbols. Natural logarithm was ○, backspace, star ; circle was used for logarithms and star was used for both exponentiation and the constant e.
