bernardhalas··on Show HN: Helloreads – Online bookshelf simplified
Hello there, I registered and filled-in a couple of books I've read. I don't see the value of the site though.

I see the list of features - marking books I've read (not sure what's the value) - adding books that I'd like to read into another list (not sure what's the value) - verbally asking for a recommendation (but there I'm missing categories and tags...)

Did I miss anything?

bernardhalas··on Show HN: Easy way to get comprehensive concepts and summary even from a photo
Very interesting stuff. I see it's more suitable for academic papers and news articles (am I right?).

I like the UI, but it has some glitches like unexpected scrolling behavior when looking at the results of the url demo - if I scroll up/down in the result frame I don't expect the whole page to go up/down. Also I spotted that the same paragraph was listed twice in the result, but I assume this is still a WIP.

Other than that the call-to-action and workflow itself is easy to understand and follow, which is great.

bernardhalas··on Show HN: Geens blockchain timestamping use cases
I'm a fan of blockchain tech myself. Your page looks allright, the icons are nice. Perhaps a direct link to the Geens.com would be good so that I don't need to write it manually.

It's not clear to me if this is a mobile app or not, so not sure what I'd be signing up for. Is this a camera app which stores the picture on the blockchain? Perhaps you could shed some light on the token distribution for the not-blockchain-aware people.

bernardhalas··on Show HN: Simple cryptocurency prices info chrome extension
Hi there,

the first impression is that this is a nice tool with a design well done. What disturbed me a little was that zooming and scrolling of the chart was not really intuitive.

Also, I prefer to watch the crypto price in EUR, feel free to consider adding other currencies as well.

bernardhalas··on Show HN: Add hidden messages to your tweets, Facebook posts, WORD docs and more
Hi there, great idea. Sort of like text stenography.

Is the message really hidden in this message? Or are you just doing the lookup your database of hidden messages based on the hash of the public message?

Regarding the website UX - after I pasted the message to your text field I thought the hidden message is the youtube video. But that didn't make sense to me and only later I understood the message is above the video.

Also, looking at the payment options - I'm missing a pay-per-message approach. For your consideration.
