Nobody has heard from the redactle.com dev for around a year now. The main difference with redactle unlimited is that the 1 game per day limit is removed and the multiplayer feature is a lot of fun if you're stuck. Just make sure you go to redactle-unlimited.com and NOT the one without the dash!
I empathise with the comments about copycats.
I made a web game and initially put it up on github pages. It was inspired by a similar web game which had been abandoned and I wanted to add features etc so I re-created it from scratch.
Within a week it was cloned and put up on a nice domain with a different logo and the copycat was impersonating me on social media and ranking quite well on Google. It's no longer open source. The copy cat site now has adverts up and links to a network of copycat web games. Many copy cat sites are now embedding my site proxied (to avoid CORS) and surrounded with adverts. These sites rank really well on Google because the copy cat sites link to each other. The game is at https://redactle-unlimited.com if you want to check it out. I haven't made a life changing amount from donations but it actually might be a significant amount for people in poorer economies.
The bottom line is that you need to have a moat by having a trusted brand or database/codebase that can't be imitated.
I agree. I installed warp and uninstalled it as soon as I saw the login screen. I understand this might be good for a business but it brings no value to me and wastes my time.
I cook scrambled eggs in a stainless pan with a decent amount of butter (about 20% butter). It's actually pretty easy to clean. Soak the pan in water for five minutes and use a steel wool brush and everything comes off easily.
Many people recommend seasoning pans by overheating polyunsaturated fats; screw that it also creates a bunch of bad chemicals.
Your number one concern should be health, then taste second. Chefs' obviously have different priorities so don't care what they have to say. Most restaurants produce unhealthy food containing a lot of sugar, processed oils and sodium but that tastes good as that's what customers demand.
A reference? This is plumbing not academia. The parts I get might be slightly different than the spec so you have to make up for it with the right amount of tape in situ. If you tighten the threads as much as possible and there is still a gap then you have to seal it somehow. Soft plastics will deform enough to seal without any tape at all but harder materials need something between to fill in the gaps.
I suspect males tend to have a wider bell curve in income so when you combine the data from both sexes males will dominate the winning end (e.g. CEOs) as well as the bottom end (e.g. prisons). Nobody pays any attention to the bottom of the pyramid so all they see is a distorted view of a few alpha males dominating in the top half of the pyramid.
It wouldn't be surprising if something is going on. Shanna Swan's research shows that male genitals (penis size and 'taint' size) are more feminine when the baby is exposed to phthalates in the womb as the levels of testosterone are lower and this leads to impaired development.
It's tough because marketing like 'BPA free' doesn't actually mean the product is free of endocrine disruptors. There are glass bottles that still have a plastic lid.
I've switched all my cookware to glass or metal (no teflon).
What about wooden things that are painted or glued together (plywood)? Is it better or worse than plastic? It's just about impossible to find soft furniture that isn't covered in plastic fabric.
The woman's libido should be really high when she is fertile and men can tell as well; She smells better, and mechanically the sex works better as there is there is more lubrication and it just feels much better.
If you want a really good seal you wrap the tape 1-2 overlaps at the start of the thread and progressively make it thicker and thicker so you have more overlaps (10x) at the base. I guess it depends on the fittings but some run out of tapper and you can't tighten it anymore without the hexagonal nut hitting the adjacent fitting. This works well as you're building your own tapper which is sort of acting as an o-ring.
Generally BSP male fittings are always tapped which is why they don't mention it.
This reminds me a lot of OpenID over a decade ago. The idea was anyone could setup their own identity provider on their own domain and login anywhere. Unfortunately it became "login with google/facebook" which is a real shame. I hope sites don't restrict ActivityPub usage to only a few big players.
As with most things it's not that black and white. Ngāi Tahu are actually the biggest polluters of the water supply where I live as they cut down acres of forest to create massive dairy farms. The creator of this software picked a really great name since it actually promotes NZ conservation. I've donated my time and money to plant native species in NZ and I find your position ridiculous. Does everyone need to run their language past some woke authority now to make sure it doesn't offend some guys on the internet? If you want to help out with conservation why don't you spend your time volunteering for one of the many tree planting charities?
But in doing so were you not influencing the culture? Depending on how promotions etc work others might feel they need to keep up with that one guy working in the weekend.
Not everyone will care about environmental affects so it's important to mention the health crisis.
Plastics, and associated chemicals like pthlates and PFOAs, that are also terrible for our health; reproductive health in particular. Scientists like Shanna Swan are blaming plastics for declining sperm counts and boys having less masculine features than in older generations. It goes way beyond BPA as the replacement chemicals for "BPA free" products are innocent until proven to be unsafe. Even tea bags are fully of plastic.
It's a minefield trying to avoid it. I'd really like plastics to be banned at least for single use packaging initially.
SEO spam seems to be more annoying than ever. Maybe Google doesn't work as well as it used to. Google values waffly, padded out, diluted content rather than brevity and succinctness. Try finding a recipe and you'll end up reading paragraphs about farmers markets and the cultural origins of the food rather than how to actually cook it!
If you're going to pay for 7 backups I wonder if it'd be better space them out a bit. You could keep 1x 12 hourly, 2x daily, 2x weekly, 1x monthly etc. Or just use some form of event sourcing so your DB becomes a materialized view you can restore. These days devs often aren't allowed to have copies of sensitive customer data.
If you do ever make a project I'd advise not publishing source code and obtaining a domain early. Initially this was an open source project on github pages but then redactleunlimited, com copied my work slapped a silly logo on the page then claimed to be me on social media. Now they've joined wordle-unlimited,io which is a modern eBaum's world of plagiarized games all linking each other for SEO.
Is there anything website owners can do about this? I've been many web games, including my own, embedded and surrounded by adverts (see dordle,io, wordle-unlimited,io). Simple permissions like x-frame-options won't work since they're proxying everything onto the same origin. I've thought about checking after a few minutes if the user is on an embeded DOM then asking them to head over to the real site.
