bepvte··on Firefox Preview/GeckoView Add-Ons Support
Websites are complex, you cannot make a script that edits every page to make it both dark and readable when things like the background could be light colored images and fonts that are permanently dark exist

Binary patching a software that has its exe signed by mozilla is very impossible without it triggering smartscreen or alerting users

Entropy running low is a frequent and actual problem for me on virtualized or headless servers serving https content. It slows everything, including ssh, to a halt.

You can see your current entropy level, which is probably high due to having a keyboard, with this command:

cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail

You can watch this number drain by reading from /dev/random continuously.

http://www.issihosts.com/haveged/ Haveged has existed since 2003 and has lots of documentation and discussion of its randomness.

How would you solve harassment then? If you dont believe in small changes in smaller communities, do you believe that change has to occur in all of society at once?

Gallium3D is a framework for building drivers, not a graphics API. The intel drivers do not use gallium3d (yet), and neither do nvidias.
bepvte··on New PDFex attack can exfiltrate data from encrypted PDF files
I believe that if you edit the pdf so that the thing you are redacting is no longer in the pdf file, it is safely redacted. Printing a pdf and rescanning a pdf breaks text selection and screen readers, and basically makes it into a fancy PNG.

bepvte··on What’s Next in Making Encrypted DNS-over-HTTPS the Default
My ISP, at&t, sells my dns queries by default. I turned it off in the account privacy settings, but I still dont trust them and they are the only ISP that serves my house. As well, firefox lets you choose your dns over https provider in settings, its hardly "hardwired".

bepvte··on An update on last week's customer shutdown incident
Because I reinstalled my droplet with a different filesystem manually, the snapshot restore doesnt work. Support tells me they cant do anything, so my 2~ of chat logs are sitting in a disk image that they cant restore bc they need to mount it for some reason...

bepvte··on Google to restrict modern ad blocking Chrome extensions to enterprise users
I actually use this feature regularly... I consider a private browsing session gone when its window is gone, typically. Either way, nothing is saved to disk
bepvte··on Google to restrict modern ad blocking Chrome extensions to enterprise users
By default, google disables hardware acceleration for chrome on a large percentage of linux. As well, Ive never had it work well with open source graphics drivers or new products like wayland. And the desktop integration comes nowhere near firefox
bepvte··on Docker Bug Allows Root Access to Host Filesystem
