You're all disgusting fascists. Go step on some legos.
This works great until you realize you're punishing innocent players because of CGNAT and IP addresses getting rotated. Cheaters usually know how to get their router to request a new IP address. That IP address then gets assigned to someone else later.
Well? Go on? At what cost?
most servers leave it enabled because preventing player impersonation is pretty important so people can't just easily grief each other. some piracy servers implemented their own auth on top.
that's why you `chattr +i` the mountpoint
Apparently not in your body, no. Or maybe you just failed to recognize what addiction is, and managed to overcome it. Good job!
Now stop trying to pretend that your lived experience equals everyone else's because it clearly doesn't.
and thus complicating teamwork because there is no "right" way
kotlin is great for the lone cowboy. not so much for teams.
Your web browser is doing it right now as you are reading this comment.
The point if phone lines is to waste the client's time. Not to have the client waste their time.

Yes. I don't do such things because of curmudgeons like yourself. But as a user I wouldn't mind at all, and think it's funny.
Why does it upset you so?
You're there because you are reliant on their expertise and can't just do it yourself. Otherwise you'd be doing so.
Keep in mind that apple is intentionally killing the third party market. You cannot make a third party screen for an iphone that behaves the same as a regular screen, the iphone firmware will detect this and prevent it.
If the device can only be repaired by having extremely specialist tools, skills, etc. then it's still repairable, you just need to invest in those things which costs $$$. But it's hardly worth doing, because by the time you've done so the next iphone rolls around and the skills/tools lose most of their value.
If the device can easily be repaired but the replacement components cost so much it's hardly worth doing the end result is the same: Devices won't be repaired because it's not financially attractive. Which is exactly what Apple wants, they're only doing this because the EU is practically forcing them to.
Electron is great for developers because it allows them to easily build a cross platform app. Businesses love it for this reason.
Most users don't care. They barely realize what software is to begin with, and the mere suggestion that things could be different is baffling to them.
Then you have the highly technical users who know the software could be better, but isn't, because of the previous points.
