bashy··on Apparently CodePen 2.0 sends data to their servers as you type
Sent to them to render the preview pane. Same as pasting secrets anywhere on a browser.

Wait until you find out copying content on a computer might sent it over Wi-Fi/Bluetooth for sharing on other devices.

bashy··on Counter-Strike's player economy is in a freefall
A lot of people buy CS2 community servers to use a WeaponPaints addon which allows anyone in the server to use any skin.

I’d say 90% of ours have it enabled.

They used to ban accounts but I don’t think they have (on community servers) since it went F2P.

Will be very similar to this type of abuse report someone got on their Hetzner server (even though it had no piracy activity);

bashy··on Hetzner cuts traffic on US VPSs, raises prices
If the location (USA) is key, then fair enough but if not, just buy one of their dedicated servers and get unlimited[1] traffic.

Only outgoing external traffic is counted.

bashy··on Ask HN: How to survive indefinite DDoS attack?
If your provider has an API for the firewall/protection, just use fail2ban with cURL to block certain traffic.

This can be done with Cloudflare using this action: https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/blob/master/config/acti...

bashy··on Ubicloud – open, free and portable cloud
The thing you pay for with cloud servers is not having to do the up-keep of the host machine. They tend to have many more drives than you’d get with a bare metal server.

I have many OVH and Hetzner servers (cloud and dedicated) but not sure I’d find a use for this.

Postmark[0] have that and store it for 45 days[1] which is really handy. I use them, not affiliated.

That's just converting unix timestamps. MySQL TIMESTAMP type only has a range of '1970-01-01 00:00:01' UTC to '2038-01-19 03:14:07' UTC.[1]

Timestamps in MySQL are 32-bit. It's default in a lot of web frameworks etc.
