bakigul··on Codex Security
Update: As far as I understand, this was already available as a Codex plugin. The main news is that OpenAI has now open-sourced it, and development is still moving quickly.

Why would a few code snippets put Snyk out of business?

bakigul··on Retiring GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, GPT-4.1 mini, and OpenAI o4-mini in ChatGPT
This wasn't good at all. This 4 o was a model I was preparing 3 posts for every day, and I couldn't get the same performance with GPT 5. It's disappointing.

bakigul··on Creators of Tailwind laid off 75% of their engineering team
If the business model had evolved together with artificial intelligence, we wouldn’t be talking about a 75% layoff today we might be talking about a 75% hiring spree instead.
bakigul··on I can't tell if this photo is real or AI and that terrifies me
I absolutely agree
bakigul··on I can't tell if this photo is real or AI and that terrifies me
I recently came across this post: https://x.com/immasiddx/status/1992979078220263720

Two photos both generated using Nano Banana or Nano Banana Pro. One of them (left) kind of looks synthetic. The other one (right)? I’d swear it’s a real photo.

It’s scary how good these are getting. Honestly, I don’t want to believe the right one is AI-generated.

But it raises an important question:

How do we detect images like this? What tools, techniques, or even open-source projects can help?

I have no solution this time. But I’m convinced we need open-source AI detectors now more than ever.

If anyone knows any projects, research, or even homegrown heuristics — please share.

This is quickly becoming everyone’s problem.

bakigul··on Blocking LLM crawlers without JavaScript
Why do people want to block LLM crawlers? Everyone wants to be visible in GPT, Claude, and others, don’t they?

bakigul··on Why 29 October Matters: The Turkish Republic Was Born Today
On 29 October 1923, Turkey officially became a republic. The shift from empire to democracy wasn't just political, it redefined identity, sovereignty, and the modern Middle East.
bakigul··on Meta is axing 600 roles across its AI division
AI engineer: “I built this model.” Meta: “Excellent. We no longer need you.”
bakigul··on How Digital Is Germany?
I guess they might be afraid of potential data leaks, that could be why they avoid full digital integration.
bakigul··on Is there an existing standard for the llm.txt format for websites?
Anthropic has shared their documentation in a `.txt` format that large language models (LLMs) can understand, such as [https://docs.anthropic.com/llms-full.txt](https://docs.anthropic.com/llms-full.txt). Is there an existing standard directory structure or format for `llm.txt` files? Are there any known resources or guidelines about what rules or structure such files should follow and how they should be prepared?
