I saw the MBP 2016. I was very happy and went and bought a old MBP 2015 with retina at a discounted rate... I'm a happy camper and lousy early adopter.

Well. Communication problem exists with professional hirings as well. I blame engineers' lack of empathy (both interviewer and interviewee).
When I test people's reaction, it's generally not because I want to hire them. I just want to learn about people. If the purpose is hiring, overreacting but good coder will not take the job, under-reacting but good coder will not stay long because he/she will get angry eventually, over-reacting and taking the job seems desperate... I just don't see what can possibly get out this kind of test from a hiring perspective.
So is education. You get some, then you get some more. So is work, you get a job, then you get promoted. You know exactly where you are going. You know exactly how much money you need to live comfortably. Maybe you will find a SO, get some babies like your mom keep asking you to do. Maybe that's the way to go. Well, you get to see them for a couple hours before and after work everyday. Maybe go hippie? Go all kumbaya. Maybe find Jesus? It's a peaceful, harmonic society. Another day in paradise!
Realize you are not the only one suffering existential crisis. I have no business giving you advice. All I can say is, I'm in your shoes. All I can think of is to seize control of my own life. Truly understand something thoroughly that you are good at and passionate about. Not for your employer, not for trying to gain attention or respect. Just for you. Take whatever opportunities you've got to travel, to meet other cultures. There are so many possibilities, and you will power to choose your own path if you just be extremely good at something. Know at what point money loses its value. Be good and go forward.
We are talking about our "right" to force other to do something rather than protecting ourselves from being forced.
It should be business issue, not an actual human right issue.
I would advocate companies certify other entities as repairing authorities or just do a good job themselves; providing the support. Of course it will reduce their product sale and that would be a huge deal to us consumers as well because we want them to do well and providing better product next round.
However, it is dangerous that we use sale as THE primary measure. I believe companies should take pride in the quality of their products and services. They should inspire customer loyalty, not unethical growth to please Wall Street.
I find people criticize government without a good understanding on how it works. A cumulative resentment due to lacking of actual person(s) to blame. Criticisms without better solutions and intention to help are just as lame as those incompetent upper managers trying to solve problems by repeating mistakes in the past.
