People still get addicted definitely for example the gatcha slot game: Watchers of Samsara in Dota 2.

Moral collapse is a real danger. In Germany there were Nazis in the Eastern bloc the communist terror.

We need integrity and civic duty to protect ourselves from the next totaliterian regimes.

Security apparatus power trips and the erosion of privacy is the wet dream of the Stasi.

I think asking the question what would the Stasi do with this legislation helps warn every day people about the privacy risks.

azmodeus··on AI startup Lamini bets future on AMD's Instinct GPUs
Very exciting work. Is there a way to try lamini with a cloud provider before investing too much in it?
azmodeus··on A Comprehensive Guide for Building Rag-Based LLM Applications
I think unless you need a vector db definitely don't use it.

A vector storage could help in reduce the time it takes to retrieve the most similar hit. I used faiss as a local vector store quite a bit to retrieve vectors fast. Though I had 1.5 million vectors to work through.

I would start with a fastai course such as practical deep learning for coders.

After doing one of the fastai courses you will have some applied Python project experience and you can hone in deeper on a particular part of the project you are more interested in intellectually.

The clean design looks great. The cold start problem around an HR problem is pretty hard. How are you handling it?
azmodeus··on GCP automatically lowered our quota, caused an incident, and refused to upgrade
Even if you buy support it is not comparable to AWS. I suffered GCP Dataflow support in the past it was: 1. slow 2. condescending 3. not helpful Really don't recommend GCP for long term use. If you get some free credits it's good to use it to train some ML models but AWS is much more customer friendly.

Not sure if you are aware how small most European countries are:

Very interesting experiments as a data nerd would love to see a write up about how your diet effected your sugar. I know it's unlikely you will publish it but if you would I'd love to read it.
