avoidboringppl··on Ask HN: What happens when Claude Code goes away?
You can ask Claude to run a pre-mortem on this scenario happening and get it to recommend pre-emptive solutions.

I irregularly use a framework similar to the one by Klein, Sonkin, Paul Johnson https://leonlins.com/writing/premortem to get one AI agent to consider the problems and potential solutions to vendor lock in.

If this is for Claude specifically, feels like most common alternatives (Codex) are viable.

If this is for AI agents generally, I've been backing up local model workflows as well

Also interesting to note that the hype came a while after the release of GPT-3 (the tweet was about a month after), and that many of the examples could have possibly been generated from GPT-2 (which didn't get as much hype). Put another way, you could show ppl GPT-2 examples from a year ago and claim they were from GPT-3, and I don't think many would know the difference.

I do think GPT-3 has shown improvement, and it's a step forward, but it probably tells more about how humans interpret rather than how AI might work. Wrote about it more in the link below:

Yep thanks for pointing that out! It's the last of 3 main topics in the post

Agreed - it can really be the little things and moments that matter. When we've become focused on creating camera worthy moments at the expense of having an enjoyable, satisfying moment, that's a problem.

I don't think there's a default "oh just don't use instagram/cameras/phones" reaction that we should jump to; as with everything there's a certain amount of usage that's good and bad.
