atulvi··on Wikidive – AI guided rabbitholes in Wikipedia
OK, developer here. Here is how it works. It connects to groq and asks this

"I was going in this rabbit hole of wikipedia articles: #{chain} \n I have now found these topics:\n\n#{related_topics}\n\n Select the 2 most mind blowing topics from the list and that I'd enjoy given my rabbit hole. Ensure two topics are not the same."

and pics two articles that it returns. This is slightly better than random.(related article names are obtained from wikipedia API).

Right now, I'm maxed on daily Groq usage and the app falls back to pure random choice.

Why two articles? I was kind of going for a hot or not style system.

Anyway, it was a fun experiment. Learned lots.

I built this to recreate those late-night Wikipedia rabbitholes. It uses AI to find two fascinating interesting topics related to a topic you choose and then lets you dive deeper.
atulvi··on A look at Firefox forks
OK, this is it. The perfect firefox fork. The last thing I need is the ability to self host a ff sync server so my bookmarks are synced with my phone.

atulvi··on Ask HN: Good Pocket Alternative
A cool product that's very close to ideal is https://github.com/sissbruecker/linkding

It just misses a recommendation system.

atulvi··on Ask HN: Good Pocket Alternative
* I really just want pocket as a bookmarking tool than the web reader. The web reader works, but it's very bad in cases with a lot of embeds/code snippets. If a site is pay-walled, only a small section is available in Pocket. I usually open the actual page in this case than read in pocket.

* Some links I added a long time ago are permanently lost because the original page got taken down. It'd be much better if a permanent snapshot was taken(including all the images, this is pretty easy to do with something like https://github.com/gildas-lormeau/SingleFile) of the page and is available even if the original page is lost.

atulvi··on Ask HN: Good Pocket Alternative
That's great to hear. Original Pocket recommended articles were very high quality. I saved a lot of Haskell/fp related articles back in the day and all my recommendations were related to the topic, saved by other users with my same niche interests.

I'd say this kind of recommendation is not hard to do. Pocket simply went to the dark side for monetization reasons.

This is why I wanted to look for a decentralized alternative that can be self hosted, yet communicates with other nodes for recommendations.

Good luck trying to disrupt meetup.com. I really want this to happen, but they have market momentum. meetup.com is the most bloated app I've ever seen.
