And here we are now, a plague and a massive stock rally.
If I were to bet, I'd say people should prepare for history to rhyme.
They're particular to the modern conservative party.
Being apathetic to politics is consequential in and of itself.
As to your claim about immigration, I'm not interested in defending any particular policy position. But, there is some research that indicates immigration boosts overall labor participation [1].

I don't know how anyone can say this and be considered a serious person.
One American party denies climate change, downplays COVID19, tries to take healthcare from millions, tries to disenfranchise anyone not voting for them, limits legal immigration and asylum seekers, and refuses to admit there is a problem with systemic racism.
But by all means, remain "apolitical," since apparently this isn't about policy anymore. Wacky stuff man...
The writer seems to imply that Fritz Haber would not have developed the Haber process without Liebig and effectively without the Mt Tambora eruption.
Nice theory, but I don't know if we can be sure of all that.
In a lot of cases it makes money and people prefer it, but that doesn't equate to being good or being good for society.
It makes the poor more productive.
You just have to adjust monetary policy to maintain that status quo.
Of course, the opposite of that is true as well.
Ultimately the race isn't all about merit but also politics.
I guess that's why I've never used my real name.
I do also remember when Twitter wasn't so political. But all that changed when more information became available and people started to realize how serious our issues are. If you have concerns you shouldn't be afraid to speak up because that's how a Democracy works.

Don't destroy the world over a failed ideology.
It almost always devolves into "jokes" about getting state approval to shoot immigrants, refugees, minorities in open ranges, or providing "helicopter rides" - a reference to dropping people from helicopters.
This is what currently unifies the right wing of US politics.
Why aren't these being flagged?
> A Texas Ranger, Captain Samuel Walker, wrote Colt a testimonial that read, in part:"Your pistols...[are] the most perfect weapon in the World... to keep the various warlike tribes of Indians and marauding Mexicans in subjection."

The web was originally designed as an open platform.
I would guess most users uploading to Youtube would not want people deterred from watching their content.
I believe the developer's constitutional rights were violated and I would contact the EFF and ACLU for help.
For some context, at one point:
> the US government designated encryption software as a "munition"

The fight should be an ideological one - akin to first amendment protections.
This is modern day book burning.
California allows any coalition to initiate referendums and bring the vote to the people, if that's not democratic, I don't know what is.
Edit: And it's a bit insulting to say California voters don't have the wherewithal to digest political advertisements and make their own decisions.
