Saying 'Correlation isn't causation' doesn't disprove causation.
This is why DARE failed. You can't blatantly lie about everything just because you want what's best for people. At some point people find out you're a liar and don't believe a thing you say.
According to my dad the Catholic Church tried when he was in elementary school, but he brags that Satan was too strong with him.
2. Economists have successfully predicted 9 out of the last 5 recessions. -Paul Samuelson
Just seemed like a high schooler who read Howard Zin and is reciting all the ways America is horrible. Very emo or goth or nihilistic or just bleak. Not a fun or thought provoking read.
The Constitution actually takes away our rights. It has to, it lays out the powers the government has over us. Even the bill of rights doesn't technically give us rights---it explicitly details the ways our government cannot operate.
It was like we lost the first 9 events of a decathalon and then won the 1500 and declared ourselves the winner.
Decent, not amazing.
Crazy-person-but-actually-really practical-idea:
Nationalize one if these networks. Maybe Discover.
The US government should provide us digital currency. The simplest way is to force the current systems to do that. All that rent they collect in terms of transactions fees shouldn't be profit for a private business but fees of the government.
What resource will we run out of if we continue to piss in traditional urinals?
Has bullshit marketing terms invaded scientific papers now as well?
You will never go wrong attributing a pithy quote to Benjamin Franklin or Mark Twain.

I did this... Well I did this... My experience was .. Me me me... anecdote anecdote anecdote.
Nothing but humblebrags, dismissals of others experiences with their experiences and reminiscings.
1. Which ones? I used to be able to stereotype with the best of them, but I cant quickly come up with any protected class that is assigned as teetotalers.
2. Saying you're not hiring someone because they don't drink is a perfectly valid reason for not hiring someone, even if it's a cover for not hiring them because of protected class membership. The laws protecting protected classes are super weak. It is virtually impossible to prove that is the sole reason they weren't hired. All you need is an actual other reason to not hire them--and of course don't put into writing that the real reason is their protected class membership.
The dumber we (humanity in general) get, the smarter AI appears to the average person. You'll be a heretic or just deemed crazy if you call BS on something AI says in 50 years--regardless.
Instead of "old person" he put a number on it. (Cue the people who need to cut me down because I used a male pronoun for an unknown poster)
You didn't build a nest egg, you saved for a down payment.
You didn't rebuild your nest egg, you created a sinking fund for your home.
You praise yourself for not treating your home as a credit card, but your left hand is still borrowing money from yourself.
You've recognized there's an issue, but don't fool yourself into thinking you've done anything about it
I sincerely hope that was your attempt at sarcasm.
That's up there with people who brag about only smoking when they drink and vegetarians for moral reasons who eat fish.
You framed a feelings based, adherence to tradition, no basis of actual functionality as a rational, logical decision, just because there was a worse decision to be made.
Granted, both take focus and long term discipline which people who lack both chalk up to luck.
Hate the guy all you want, even for this, but don't try and juice it another 20% with emotional words that are ultimately incorrect.
Layoff everyone on the PR team and just do shit. When you are 95% of the way there and actually have some sort of prototype, announce a hard plan and details. No interviews, no artist renditions of shit that's never going to happen, no congratulating yourself for ideas and hopes, just get shit done--that's the best PR. James Webb and was a constant massive let down because of its continuously slipping deadlines. Years and years late and billions over budget....but then...it actually happened and it was amazing.
NASA, quit setting our expectations if you never meet them. Just do shit and let us be amazed when it happens.
We now need a new way to convey to listeners that our words need to be taken literally. Perhaps the VBA method and just double the 'literally's:
I took a flaming shot of tequila and my mouth is literally literally on fire
