asdaqopqkq··on AnyPS5: Port PS5 binaries to PC without emulation (87% system libraries mapped)
Already happening on insta and tiktok with genAI stuff, people are creating a lot of funny stuff
asdaqopqkq··on Does Reddit have an astroturfing problem? What the data suggests
This, it the main reason I don't post on reddit so much. Anyone outside the bubble will get their posts taken down.
asdaqopqkq··on I resigned from Anthropic today
I wish i could say the same, i see people around me with more resources and connections and better experience with entrepreneurship becoming millionares. But I haven't had the time to train that entrepreneurship bone in my body.
asdaqopqkq··on I resigned from Anthropic today
Why quit? If your voice can lend a guiding force no matter how small? I think we need more sensible people in the room where the magic happens. Most of us don't have access to it.
asdaqopqkq··on Sony makes bold claim about game ownership
After GTA6 comes out on PC, Sony should get ready for a crash that will make the PS3 launch issue look tiny. Kids these days just play Rolox or Fortnite on tablets, the gamer pipeline is gone and what ever is left of the gamers are migrating to SteamOS/PC. Older kids would much rather use Insta/Kick/etc as an IRL MMO. Teen boys are more concerned with looksmaxxing than video games. Maybe they know this and this is one last milking of the their installbase before the big fall.
asdaqopqkq··on Gemini 3.8 Flash and 3.8 Flash Cyber
Gemini models look so good on paper by IRL dev and daily life usage totally make it seem like it's way behind Codex and Claude.
asdaqopqkq··on Moon (2024)
Moon autism, nice
asdaqopqkq··on "Clean" Code, Horrible Performance (2023)
i'd argue it is even more harmful for beginns, i remember we had to code a chess program and seeing students getting stuck on OOP stuff rather than actually solve the problems.
asdaqopqkq··on Google fixed more Chrome bugs in June than over the past two years, thanks to AI
Did anyone check the code changes manually? What if it is just slop code?

asdaqopqkq··on OpenAI and Anthropic unite against open-weight AI risks to their bottom line
also China actually legally pays the API costs even when distilling. OPenAI and ANtro just straight up abused scraping bots which overloaded servers
asdaqopqkq··on Kimi Work
weird to all it a dupe, these are new paradigms, it's like saying BMW duped Mercedes Benz cause they both make stuff on 4 wheels
asdaqopqkq··on Alternative(s) to run CUDA on non-Nvidia hardware
aren't llms smart enough to directly write custom kernels for custom hardware from cuda code?
asdaqopqkq··on Wikipedia escapes Category 1 designation under the UK Online Safety Act for now
I don't get the anglo mind. They set up the same 1984 esque institutions in the subcontinent. Just why. Does it tickle their mind to control informantion or something ? Is is the boarding schools?
asdaqopqkq··on Resetting Xbox
PS should move back to Japan, yen is cheap and the dev salaries are cheap.
asdaqopqkq··on Resetting Xbox
DF basically got paid to goof off an a very expensive city. MS basically bankrolled their hangout and chill lifestyle. Day to day was basically them having mildly interesting discussions about their personal lives and easily solvable creative/ technical stuff that went round and round.
asdaqopqkq··on Resetting Xbox
This. DoubleFine is the prime example. Basically they got paid to goof off in a very expensive city. Adult daycare.
asdaqopqkq··on Microsoft fire idTech team at Id software
I hope they don't join the games industrty again but rather use their engineering skills for aerospace or robotics etc
asdaqopqkq··on Microsoft fire idTech team at Id software
makes zero sense, that's some top tier human capital
asdaqopqkq··on Physical disc production ending in Jan 2028 for new games on PlayStation
They should make a draconian law that if anyone for any reason caused by the vendor is unable to access the game afte paying for it, the vendor will have to upload that game in a torrent for free for everyone on the planet. The people will decide how long the torrent lives.
asdaqopqkq··on Has AI already killed self-help nonfiction books?
LLMs can chew through all the latest in medical research papers, psychological research papers etc. and output better more targeted info for users.
asdaqopqkq··on Is Meta destroying its engineering organization?

asdaqopqkq··on Wine 11 rewrites how Linux runs Windows games at kernel with massive speed gains
If someone can get the last decent ver. of Excel and Word running on Wine, that would be awesome
asdaqopqkq··on Satya Nadella: "We need to find something useful for AI"
As for me, ChatGPT and Claude were able to diagnose and fix health issues that multiple doctors failed to fix. I trust LLMs more than random doctors and blogs.

Cause they are able to search the web deeply, search for up to date info/research and synergize all that. You can have back and fourth for as long as you need.

The issue is that using LLMs properly requires a certain skill that more people lack.

asdaqopqkq··on The post-GeForce era: What if Nvidia abandons PC gaming?
Will leave a vaccum for Chinese companies to grab the whole market share.
