It’s now so good that I cd into this folder and say things like “add this and that to this configuration” and the agent immediately knows how to do it
I’m guessing cf just wraps the API into a CLI that’s easier to traverse and explore
But even before that, when it flagged me, it just downgraded me from Opus 5 to 4.8 and went ahead with whatever I asked
Claude voice mode if you put it on Opus is now also pretty good, but there are frequently situations where I get upset at it’s responses.
Normal SuperGrok barely lasts me through the week with very mild usage and no coding. The sentiment around SuperGrok Plus is also not great and I haven’t seen someone saying they’re happy with it yet.
SuperGrok Heavy is $300/mo, so you could get a full ChatGPT Pro and Claude Max 5x for that price. That’s so far out of my budget for a single provider I haven’t bothered trying it.
I still have SuperGrok through X Premium+ but will downgrade that next billing cycle
My SuperGrok subscription previously easily lasted me through the week even with mild coding through Grok Build. Now when I use the app 1-2 times a day to ask some questions, I’m almost running out by the end of the 7 days. It’s terrible.
I want to keep using Grok but logically it makes no sense for me to keep paying for it on the side when my quota just doesn’t last. I have also no desire to upgrade to Plus with these terrible limits, while previously I would have eaten up a $100/mo Grok plan. Rumors say SuperGrok got heavily nerfed with the SuperGrok Plus introduction, and that sounds about right to me.
I’m sure it’s a great model and I’d love to use it. I hope they get their plans under control and only only focus on Grok Bot.
Personally jumping around a lot to get a feeling for exactly that, and these days liking the Grok harness out of all of them the most
I still dream of the day that we get full tool parity in voice and text mode so your voice assistant can do everything you connect for you. Grok and Claude are btw almost there, only a very few minor built-in tools don’t exist in voice mode, but I already use both to connect to heaps of things! It’s so valuable to verbally discuss something with an agent, have the agent pull in context from GitHub, Notion, email, and then create artifacts somewhere
You can already do this for a long time
It’s not using Codex to steer a headless browser
Eg: mise use -g gcloud instead of brew install xxx
It can even do that for npm packages! Like mise use -g npm:xxx
Funny thing is, Claude often “disagreed with part of the review and decided to not adopt the requested changes” lol
Spark asks you for every single tool call, often forgets earlier parts of the conversation, is unable to use apps unless you explicitly tag them and and and
Google has great models, but their harnesses and products are just bad
Works pretty well!
SuperGrok Plus is slightly better but doesn’t last me more than a few days. Even Claude Max feels leagues more generous in usage…
I haven’t tried SuperGrok Heavy because it’s too expensive
Or adding notes to docs of what this doc isn’t when I corrected it. Eg I told it “keep the deployment manual and readme separate, they’re not the same thing”, then Claude added “this is the deployment document and not the README. They should be handled as separate documents and are not the same thing” to the deploy doc lol
I didn’t expect we get 4.6 so soon and the increased limits to try it out are neat!
I usually do a very simple test and tell it to verbatim tell me all tools that are connected
It’s weird. The old Claude voice mode WAS able to use tools but when they revamped it, it lost that capability and is now pinned to Haiku :(
So, yay for finally a voice mode that’s powered by a frontier model and hopefully as good as Grok voice, but sad to still not see tool use while in voice mode.
(I haven’t tried it yet, only read the announcement)
/edit: occurred to me that OP meant Claude via ACP, not directly
It still left small bugs and weird behaviors that it cleaned up when I told it about them, but it felt very Opus-ey.
I think for implementing a detailed design doc, I’d put it on par with gpt-5.5 high but farrrr more expensive. I’m eating through my x5 Max plan in no time. I’d use it for reviewing implementations and designs docs as another pass, but it’s too expensive for me for reading a lot of (uncached) code by itself in an agentic loop, especially with medium to high reasoning.
As a daily driver too expensive, that crown still goes to gpt-5.5.
I barely used it in high/xhigh/max reasoning though.
Can we stop with this way of installing things? This is already on brew and it’s a menu bar app. Just let me download it instead of executing some arbitrary bash script
When did this trend start?
