anwar_nairi··on Anyone else been seeing any Google branding changes today?
I've noticed them too.

Go to Google Search, Gmail, any Google app.

On the right top "grid" icon, you can see most of the rebranded icons.

If you want my opinions, they are less readable, and they adopt different aspect ratio (some are rectangle, some are vertical, no homogeneous aspect) which increase the messy feeling.

I largely preferred they adopted a common basis (a rounded rectangle or circle would have done the job). Some icons have stayed the same, which is also confusing. Either you change anything or nothing in my opinion.

Great app! I think as an improvement, you should strip start (or prevent to type) any protocol :) I tried "https://korru.app", it did not worked FYI.

Since it's a PWA I'll add it to Korru ;)

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Twitter for Voice Notes
Reminds me of AirChat, do you know it? Also, I would love it to be a PWA, so I can list it in https://korru.app! Keep up the great work :)
anwar_nairi··on Show HN: WordFor – a free, open, private reverse dictionary running on browser
It is very well done congratulations! I am building an installable web app catalog, and I am happy to see other apps using offline content download instead of server-client roundups for search queries. It works very well and this is comforting me in keeping the same strategy!

Your app being a PWA, I will list it at https://korru.app :)

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Great Apps
Hi, congratulations for the launch! Is this listing focus on any specific kind of apps?

It reminds me of a listing I made focused on installable web apps: https://korru.app

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Micro – apps without ads, algorithms or tracking
I really appreciate anybody trying to bring web alternatives that are lighter, faster to install, do not require updates, and often as capable as native apps. We need more of these so thank you for that effort! I will add it to https://korru.app and will hope people will find it useful!
anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Korru, Web App Catalog
Hi yukinox, thanks for the kind word, appreciate it a lot! I'm not going to monetizing this app ever. I want it to be the de-facto open source web store for anybody. There is other web app catalog that offer more features at the cost of an optional subscription like https://store.app, and I think both are important to offer various level of visibility for web app builders. The only benefit I will have by working on Korru will be visibility for my work. Also make sure to check the source code if you need inspiration for your own web catalog: https://github.com/khalyomede/korru.app
anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Porcfolio, Obsidian-like personal finance
Hey, this is a very cool idea, I searched something like this mostly for projecting my monthly basis budgets!

I will add it to https://korru.app

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: TV Explorer. Global IPTV in the Browser
You've outdone yourself congratulations!

I will add it to https://korru.app, keep up the good work happy to see web-first alternatives!

anwar_nairi··on DiVine Web – Short-Form Looping Videos on Nostr
that's dope! So cool it has a PWA, I will add it to

https://korru.app

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Tailwatch – Hierarchical event monitor with push notifications
There is so much potential for use cases like being notified when a scripts finishes to run, I also see a lot of great use cases in IoT... congratulations on building this very polished dashboard!

By the way as this is a PWA I added it to

https://korru.app

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: AI pull request reviewer that analyzes Git diffs
Hi, congrats on this opportunity! Hope you come up with something that makes you and devs happy :)

I thought about building an PR review powered by AI, and the more I challenged the idea in my mind, the more I think the MoE pattern is the best suited for it to prevent the maximum of hallucinations while creating a virtuous circle of discussions between you and the experts (or even between the experts themselves).

If you go / inspire from this, you may want to start supporting a small subset of technologies like React or Laravel projects, in order to provide the bests set of experts pre-configured with clear prompts so that it gets relevant in PR reviews.

I also think a big part of making this tool useful for entreprise will be the ability to provide some level of customizations, like specific guidelines/linting rules (for example, Domain Driven architecture, or monolithic approaches, etc...

anwar_nairi··on Insect Empire – A browser survivor-like built with AI art and AI coding
Man congrats I had a big fun playing... You should definitely add a service worker and a manifest file so we can all add this game to our home screen. The gameplay is very cool, great to see what the web can do today!
anwar_nairi··on Show HN: M-session – Open-source app for guided MDMA sessions
This is a really polished experience, I really appreciate the smooth transitions. Somehow I expected I could perform the breathings without MDMA (the button stays grayed as I don't have any medication right now). Congratulations keep up the great work!

You should definitely add it to https://store.app

On my end I went ahead and added it on https://korru.app :)

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Kuro-Nuri – Browser-based image redaction and compression using WASM
This is awesome that it is able to run completely in the browser, congratulations on cracking this!

Added to https://korru.app :)

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: ROX – a minimal language with explicit errors and no magic
Promising! I like the tidy design. I think the "Control" menu is missing one explaination about how can one return a rox_result[T].

Also I tried to remove the error check ("if (isOk(res))"), and the compiler did not complained. You might 1. want to add a "match" operator to force handling errors and/or 2. tell the compiler to check for this unhandled error handling (your app may crash otherwise).

I thought/brainstormed on 100% type safe language syntax a while ago, and for this reason I decided to only allow "repeat" for loops and "match" for conditionals.

Keep up the good work!

anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Killer Crossword
This should definitely be a PWA if you plan to host it for a long time :) You can then add it to web stores like https://store.app or https://korru.app
anwar_nairi··on Show HN: Scansprout – QR code generator I extracted from an art gallery project
Great job, I like the clean UI! This should definitely be a PWA...
anwar_nairi··on I created a browser-based operating system to manage my home lab
Congratulations, this looks promising! I always knew a web based was possible, you just prove my point.

Added to https://korru.app by the way :)

anwar_nairi··on I built Fluxer, a Discord-like chat app
Great initiative, it was about time we need something installable and lightweight...

Added to https://korru.app by the way :)

anwar_nairi··on Fair Weather
It is funny, I planned to make a 1.5 hours quick paced walk tomorrow morning, and thanks to your app you just saved me some more hours of sleep since tomorrow morning in my city will be a bad idea to go out (rain and poor weather). Tomorrow afternoon is seemingly the best window (right before sunset). Congratulations on this great app that will become my best friend...

Added to https://korru.app by the way :)

anwar_nairi··on The first AI-native car search Platform
Congrats on this great polished app!

I have worked on a car rental platform (monthly or daily rental), and I wish our car search was as clean as yours, so you got that for you. In my opinion, try to run this with as low third-party services as possible (even if I guess AI scan might be the most expensive). This is 1. a great portfolio for your job search and 2. might be a great passive revenue side project when you find your market fit.

Added to https://korru.app by the way :)

anwar_nairi··on I have been banned from Gemini
While I'm sure there is some obviously dangerous / unallowed use of fakes using Gemini going off radar, people hacking on some code get banned. That's a wild move from Gemini which makes me rethink my LLM choice, thanks for sharing!
