anons2011··on Cheap web hosting is cheap for a reason.
I transferred my site to justhost about 8 months ago. I paid for the 4 year hosting plan. Personally I have never experienced any issues.

Although the only fault I have with them is the way they have awstats set up. You can't configure it to resolve IPs, 'Update Now' isn't available etc - as they overwrite the config file every day and there's no way around this.

Also, if people do want to purchase hosting from justhost you can use 50OFF as the coupon code.

v12?!. They really have gone crazy about versioning. Back when it was v3 - they used 3.6.24, 3.6.25 etc for minor updates. And then going up a version when major things changed.

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases - 6 week release cycle incrementing the version number each time?! Firefox 12 beta is probably available soon too...

Apparently FF7 "uses as much as 50% less memory than Firefox 4" - Nope it doesn't, still the same ever increasing bloated browser.

anons2011··on Why I Won't Hire You
tl;dr indeed! Although he does sound like a bit of a dick though.

"We're sorry but this site is not accessible from the UK" :(
anons2011··on JSZip - Create .zip files with Javascript
Very nice, I guess this would be pretty useful for online template creation sites, so they can download their modified html/css files as a zip.
anons2011··on My ICT teacher can’t mark my homework
ICT in UK schools, or England in particular is a bit of a joke (Especially at GCSE or A level) It was all about Frontpage and Access as well as Flash :/

It would be much better if they taught basic programming. C, Java etc. Or even focussed on web developed in PHP, as well as the front-end side of things HTML/CSS/jQuery (And teach them about semantics and accessibility! not table based rubbish generated in Dreamweaver)

As well as getting people used to using an IDE rather than Dreamweaver. I think if they focused it more towards Comp sci, and less about making slideshows it would encourage alot more people to experience, and maybe create something awesome.

At the time I thought all you need to do to become an IT teacher was be proficient in Office :P

anons2011··on CNN, NYTimes, Mashable all vulnerable to XSS
Yes but no sensitive data would ever be stored in a cookie. There would be other authentication, so it wouldn't just rely on having a stolen cookie.
anons2011··on CNN, NYTimes, Mashable all vulnerable to XSS
On the whole XSS is pretty much useless, as it's Non persistent HTML/JS or whatever.
anons2011··on A JavaScript NES Emulator
Doesn't work.

anons2011··on "How much does a website cost?" – a survey of web designers
Sounds very reasonable, I am definitely going to up my rates, but if you've worked with someone before with cheaper rates, how do I try and up my rates?

As for a dynamic site, I mainly use Wordpress as my CMS of choice, usually great for clients as they find it pretty straight forward to go in and add/update content, add pages etc.

Another thing I have found now that I am working full-time is the absolute top-most importance for proper functional specs, as well as proper bug tracking software, emailing constant changes gets to be a real pain, and pretty hard for you to track which ones have actually been done.

anons2011··on "How much does a website cost?" – a survey of web designers
Would be interesting to get some feedback from other freelance front-end devs as well, in terms of pricing. As I known I'm probably completely undercharging.

Ha! "Why won't this work!!!" Endless alt-tabbing for googling stuff, I know because I do it too!

hotmail.cm would be a very good one, seems like someone has turned it into a ad/survey site along time ago though.
