s.478.1(1) Criminal Code—unauthorised access to, or modification of, restricted data;

s.474.17 Criminal Code—using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence

The AI knew it was doing this illegally. OpenAI is owner of the AI. Therefore they are liable.

anon48293··on Most data centers refusing to say how much water, electricity they use
Yes it says it has been implemented, both the Raad van State and the king signed it, it’s been in effect since then.
anon48293··on Research finds 485 chemicals in US pesticide products linked to breast cancer

anon48293··on As A.I. makes law firms more efficient, clients ask: 'Where's my discount?'
The whole law should have been automated and formally verified decades ago.
anon48293··on I don't want the details
I get that. But it might not be feasible to immediately maintain an entire forest.

Whereas it’s usually easy to point at a specific tree and say “that one has got to go”.

Keep doing this and you maintain the forest without ever getting overwhelmed.

anon48293··on Creatine uptake enhances antitumor immunity
Tendons have lower blood flow and take months to strengthen as opposed to muscles taking only weeks.

Do stretches, proper warmup and cooldown, and higher reps. Don’t overestimate yourself due to your muscles getting stronger, tendons need a lot of time to catch up.

anon48293··on Creatine uptake enhances antitumor immunity
Yes, but I probably shouldn’t.
anon48293··on Google’s Project Suncatcher to put ML infrastructure in space

anon48293··on I don't want the details
Doesn’t eliminating RCA case by case also lead to fewer CFA thereby eliminating them as well?
anon48293··on The GitHub wiki is an anti-pattern
You can spot a code change without a docs change or vice versa
anon48293··on Samsung accidentally freezes its smart fridges with a software update
Certainly not in their QLED technology..
anon48293··on Side-stepping the Secretary Problem, unwittingly
The solution for the secretary problem is 37%.

Then again, why would you need the best one? I do not need the best one. I need one which can do the job and is nice to work with.

anon48293··on Can gzip be a language model?
How lossy? Because I can lossy compress anything into 0 bits.
anon48293··on Spymarks, Not Watermarks
That’s not how it works. If it can uniquely identify the user it’s personal information as per GDPR. And therefore illegal in this implementation.
anon48293··on Spymarks, not Watermarks
Yes the article mentions them..
anon48293··on Jev-Leftpad
GitHub clearly didn’t use his left pad
anon48293··on Jev-Leftpad
Since the potential error increases with N, I suggest spawning N different models and let them fight it out instead.
anon48293··on The Millennium Problems for Biology
Then please enlighten me. What else do you want except what neural activity is necessary and sufficient for a conscious experience?
anon48293··on The Millennium Problems for Biology
Substrates of consciousness? You mean the neural correlates of consciousness which we already have?
anon48293··on Learning another language may be one of the best ways to keep your brain healthy

anon48293··on Spain orders blocks on Archive.today and its mirrors
That knowledge is already available and generally people don’t build bombs or bioweapons. Otherwise they could still go to university and learn all that if they so wish
anon48293··on Cyclomatic Complexity in C#
No. Watch the simple made easy talk.

Just more I/O isn’t more complicated nor a bigger risk. More entanglement is more complicated.

anon48293··on Microsoft exec called AI scraping 'the largest theft of labor in human history'
Funny. The end of copyright and patents is by far the best thing about AI to me. All of it is nonsense. Great that you drew a picture of a mouse once, I really fail to see why I couldn’t draw it and sell it either. It was moronic from the get go.
