That being said it has some value but perhaps not much more than just a little critical thinking.
Now it feels like more of a crutch to fill free time, and not serving me well for the person I'd like to be. However, I do think there's a place for it, specifically with the world of vanilla. Just being in it for a bit fulfills some deeper need to connect with my past.
I just wish I could find something that engages me as much as it used to.
Twilio is not in our future plans.
> We’ve started a Patreon here: Patreon.com/treksite. There’s only one plan and it’s just $4. If our growth continues like it has, we’re going to need to upgrade our hosting very soon.
$4 is not outside of the realm of what it might have cost a regular user to continue paying for one of these 3rd party Reddit Apps on the new pricing [1]. There are clear benefits to paying your own way: owning your data, stronger community identity; when boiling down to money alone I found it an interesting comparison, since that's what this whole situation started about. However it is certainly no longer just about the money at this point after public comments made by Reddit Corp.

But I do want to selfishly drop this gem from the founder of digg on the eve of their destruction, which mirrors so closely the quote from this memo https://twitter.com/kevinrose/status/22543843421
Also like many other people are saying, drop the weed, it's just burying the real issues. Keep a clear head, and find a therapist.
If you continuously work on the code, it will accumulate debt over time in the form of bugs, or design flaws when taking shortcuts implementing new behavior. The more people you have working in the same area, the likelier this is to occur.
The long term solution like one of the posters in another thread said, is to pay down your tech debt strategically over time. Good habits for preparing to deal with it are keeping tests updated, and commenting in sections that get particularly gnarly.
Sure but... would you really need any clinical data to make this valuable? A pharmacy could just make a decision tree with some common symptoms and do the same thing based on their own recommendations. Including data from studies is a neat enhancement but not necessary IMO.
I think perhaps there's greater value in the platform or methodology the author built for doing this type of meta analysis for medication. Could it be applied to other research fields I wonder. Could the software be licensed?
I have not purchased or plan to purchase any Uber stock, I just think it's important to have perspective on this event.

This is a piece about Facebook specifically. You shouldn't expect that he address every monopoly that should be broken up.
