How can companies such as OpenAI use that data when no licenses can be identified for most web pages or the associated images? In other words, the user/owner of the content has not agreed for it to be used in these ways.
What's people's experiences with training models using such data?
Is there any way to identify if my photos appear in common crawl or are used in such datasets?
For reference, my debate approach was not sealioning. Given the extremely bold claims made by OP, I wanted to know if they had consider ed alternative views as their comment read as unrealistic "hype".
>> Even with just chatgpt4 level performance, millions of people are in the process of losing their jobs
What jobs specifically, in which sectors, and what aspects of the role (or is it the entire one) will be replaced by "AI"?
Also, who is implementing all these changes? Who will run the "AI", who will pay for it?
Why half research "immediately"?
What if you added a type annotation to filename as Path?
So training must consider licencing where copyright material is used and not consume all data.
Your brain is not a model. You can not reproduce most of what you see. You're not "training" your brain by glancing at an image as your recall concerning that image will be terrible.
Yes, in action recognition tasks (machine learning), e.g., if you have a large video with temporal annotations (start/end times where an action occurs) you may want to extract clips to sense-check the annotations. Being exact is important.
>> NB I've no connection to the place other than really liking it
Understand. How you described it made me consider a visit. Great venue and location.
2. Use the timestamps provided by whisper to group and align with (1).
The infographic that I wanted to link [1] also has a link to the original data.

For reference, London does not have the poorest towns/area in the UK. They tend to be seaside towns or towns in the northeast.
Of course, London is most poor when factoring in housing costs, but it is also massive compared to any other town [1]. The poorest area in the UK are the poorest in Europe [2].

I'm confused by this statement. As I understand it, list comprehensions exist to transform data. Inline functions in JS would be equal to lambdas in python, I.e. anonymous functions. So what differences between JS and python do you think is missing?
In what context was this necessary?
It's like buying a pair of jeans from five companies in the same waist size and leg lengths. Some will be tight around the waist while another fits well.
>> It's native to Ireland, surely; in which case it seems fine.
English is also "native" to many people in all countries around the world. In Ireland, many families speak Irish at home, not English.
Great idea for the weekend, thanks!
I'm asking as I doubt "know about how computers work" is necessary for most tech roles.
I get it, having technical expertise is important, but still ...
