Wow he really seems a full-blown moron
andoli··on Barilla passive cooker
this might work for you barbarians, but for us italians this a big no-no ;)
andoli··on Mechanical Watch

andoli··on Show HN: A Web-Based Modular Drum Machine for You to Play With
this is great thanks for sharing
andoli··on Netflix hints at password sharing crackdown as subscribers fall
yep can confirm. Not gonna pay 15 bucks/mo or whatever, and most of my "household" isn't gonna either ;)
andoli··on Wipeout (PSX and Windows Source)
very interesting & love to see the bits of builds and other "garbage" left here and there. Wondering if somebody has actually tried building it or even just considered to do so...
andoli··on Ask HN: Why is Firefox losing marketshare and how would you save it?
> Also, I like how Lockwise on mobile is divorced from the browser, making it easy to use it to manage passwords across websites and apps.

I liked that too. That was before they decided to shut it down...

andoli··on Poll HN: What operating system do you primarily develop on?
Could you please elaborate why? I found macos/ios to be the most annoying platform to develop on by far, expecially if you are trying to make some kind of cross-platform software. For webdev grunt work, in 2022, I think there are no dramatic differences between the 3 OS...
andoli··on Why isn't there a universal data format for résumés?
I can confirm in the EU europass is widely adopted.

I do not love it very much, but I appreciate the online tools to create/update them from XML descriptors, without having to mess with Word; on the other side, being a generic template, is not very fit to expose CS skills.

An employer I know (in the startup scene) said he trashed all europass CV as he assumed you are a dull corporate droid who did not even take time to write a customized CV...

(edit: grammar)

andoli··on End of Support for Firefox Lockwise
I know I'm being a bit naive, but I trusted them more than any other random "free as in beer" password manager service...I didn't mind too much the rather miserable mobile experience, as long as it got the job done.

That's bad Mozilla. Lockwise was the reason I started donating.

andoli··on Employee accused of skipping work for 15 years
Ah! Thanks for pointing this out, i didn't know the news was under such attention on EU media. Corruption and criminal infiltration is indeed very common expecially in southern regions. the worries of mafia getting hands on those money are very real unfortunately...
andoli··on Employee accused of skipping work for 15 years
As an italian, i'm a bit amazed that BBC wrote an article about this, and also that someone posted here on HN. As someone already pointed out, reminds me of the forgotten employee tale, except this guy is probably mafia.
