As for expense, many email providers allow large numbers of free aliases for each account, or alternately one can use a catch-all address and then you don’t even need to pre-allocate the alias.
I mean this with all seriousness: if they denied you, they did so for a good reason. And if you don’t fix things, you’re likely to get banned by Mailgun also.
Second: I am highly suspicious that they gave you “no reason”. I’ve been denied in the past several times and each time a straightforward reason was given. More and more these days they are (rightly) requiring more attention be paid to how you will handle bounces, spam complaints, etc. if you don’t have a good plan for that, you’d likely get denied. Without more info, that’s as good of a guess as anyone other than you can make.

I tend to listen a lot to the HD2+ streams, as advertisers seem to not be interested in paying for ad spots there (which I guess could be indicative of poor adoption, at least beyond the main HD streams).
1) You’re browsing the web from the old machine. Your HTTPS connection gets MITM’d due to a TLS vulnerability, and the attacker is able to gain control of your email account.
2) Unbeknownst to you, another machine on the network is infected with some virus. That machine uses a CIFS vulnerability to remotely infect and root your old computer.
They tick your boxes. I’ve used them personally and professionally for 10 years now. During that time I can count on half of one hand the number of issues we’ve had. The service just works, and does so for a very reasonable price.
Save your money - watch the keynotes live and then catch as many sessions on YouTube as you desire from the comfort of your own home.

Interestingly enough, in the past year or so, they’ve been opening up drive-through only locations. These obviously carry much lower overhead than standard stores, but I’m skeptical if they’ll drive enough sales to remain open, especially as COVID (hopefully) continues to subside.
I can’t recommend enough using a tool like dnscontrol [0] to manage your records. It allows you to keep your records in git and deploy changes to them in a controlled manner. Nightmares about situations like the one you’re in were what finally motivated me to implement dnscontrol ~10 years ago.
Dragging Atlassian is very much in vogue on HN these days, and yes, they deserve some of it. That said, the spirit of HN calls its users towards curiosity rather than division, and invoking “hate” is without question a divisive tactic.

We recently built a fence, and prior to that went around the four corners of the yard with a toy metal detector and were able to locate all four pins, marking them with flags for the fence installation crew.
