The Vibe Coder is the one building prototypes to flesh out ideas, and once they flushed out the idea, they hand if off to the workers to follow standards to implement.
Although at the end of the article he does say that people should fall into both vibe/eng. and that is probably a good place to be to stay relevant in the future.
does Nissan still use these motors, the car in the linked article has been discontinued, and then only real info I can find on their site about the leaf is about their ROCKIN' bose sound system/s
Just because you don't want to use AI/LLM to translate, that won't stop someone else who will, and they will end up doing it cheaper and faster (maybe not better, but most people don't really care about quality too much anymore.)
The other person in the gym was right, did you you just dump it in the latest model?
Probably do the same thing when you go into retail stores. just flood the place with every possible identification.
Maybe an easier solution is just write something that spoofs hundreds of fake ids and sends them out constantly where ever you go; bonus points if you can create IDs that can break the devices when they try to parse it.
I don't care about a twice a week podcast about the NBA and national parks, or the other 5? podcasts about random stuff.
I have an older iPhone that can't run any of this new stuff, and I'm not upgrading because I have no reason to. I think I actually prefer at this point to be on an older phone that won't get all of this.
When is technology going to get exciting and fun again?
(that's not 100% true, I was excited to hear they were walking back liquid glass.)
This got me thinking on a new way to improve the news: Instead of reporting on the empty words people say, only report on what they have done, example:
a) Elon Musks says SpaceX is the best thing ever worth the most money ever because he is greatest person ever.
as opposed to:
b) SpaceX, run by Elon Musk, is currently Making $X per quarter, they do this by ......
So we will have a billion new hello world, stock checker, Calendar, Todo apps, and ...? Just because you have a way to write code fast, doesn't mean you are going to come up with billions of new ideas of what to do with that code, and to be mean about it, most people don't think they are creative enough to come up with ideas and are just fine watching sports all day on tv.
The apple app store currently has 2,362,917 (https://42matters.com/ios-apple-app-store-statistics-and-tre...) apps in the app store, and a lot of those are the same thing, so 0.236% of a billion.
but to be fair, with Cluade I've written at least 10 apps I use every day. If everyone in the world (8.3 billion people) would do this, then we might get close to that billion new apps.
I like posts about, because of AI, I built this cool idea I was thinking about. (or not even saying AI, just show us the cool things you made, that are hopefully not just "a tool written by ai to do ai")
a) listen to a useless podcast of two people blathering on about nothing.
b) come up with an idea, and have a coding agent start implementing it; maybe go back and forth on how to improve it.
seems like b is a better use of time.
or c) just stare into the void and let your thoughts consume you; this is my favorite, I don't like listening to stuff when I drive.
