Both parties are in the wrong on this. Americans (and others) would be wealthier and the world would decarbonize faster if the tariffs on China were lifted but it is what the people want
They really aren't better than humans at math or logic, they are good at the benchmarks because they are hyper optimized for the benchmarks lol. But if you ask LLMs simple logical questions they still get them wrong all the time
I don't doubt that an executive requires a certain temperament that lots of people don't have and that the people who become executives are generally intelligent and capable. What I'm saying is that it is not a "trade" or "profession" that has specific teachable skills, knowledge bases and responsibilities like "engineer" or "lawyer" or "plumber"
SaaS type software has been so easy to build for so long and the margins have remained strong. I think the reason for that is that the SaaS software is an artifact of defining exactly what is needed for a particular function and that remains valuable and expensive
When people say "easily", they don't mean "everybody gets to it". They mean "The chances are better than elsewhere". Which is true. And also fyi if you actually enjoy learning and growing you wouldn't sound so bitter about not making stupid amounts of money
Yes, SWE's require Computer Science, if you don't think so you've never done any real SWE work. Business majors do not teach you the problem solving ability required for even basic SWE work.
Its so predictable at this point. SV is just such a BS hype machine. There was 1 truly great revolution (the internet + smart phones) and everyone's trying to replicate it to make the big $$$. Its not going to happen. We are now in the steady state till the next truly big thing hits.
If any of you were looking to spew a bunch of pseudo intellectual nonsense while distracting from the point at hand. This is a fine example of how to do it
They're pretty closely tied together. If you have a strong background in algorithms you should be able to understand ISA's and compilers more easily. In the end its just algorithms all the way down
