alyssumclimbs··on When I died
I am 29. I have had two open heart surgeries, three valve replacements, one valve repair, and an ascending aortic aneurism repaired with a Dacron graft. I can't really explain why, but it's always somewhat comforting to find other people with the rare experience of having dealt with their mortality at a relatively young age. Thank you for sharing this. You are not alone, and your experiences are appreciated.
alyssumclimbs··on Ask HN: What are you working on?
Working on http://flowmingle.com

FlowMingle is a group oriented online dating site that leads a small, local group of singles through a guided introduction process. I'm working with two other full-time partners in Lexington, Ky. Specifically, at this moment we are integrating the ability to sign-up and login with multiple social networking APIs.

I wonder if the first digits comform to Benford's Law. Basically, the first digits of the vote counts should be 1, 2, 3 much more often than they should be 7, 8, 9

alyssumclimbs··on Ask HN: What do you use to organize your thoughts for a new website or project?
Also, my brain. Seriously though, for big projects I literally dedicate a lot of time to just thinking through things until I have it well organized and in my head.

This 'feature' seems ripe for a MS Word add-on, if it catches on. I doubt everyone will abandon their word processing software and user Etherpad.
