I think I made a mistake with the figures. I just checked that email again and it says 10,000$ for 1 million page views per day for public facing deployments. What a shame.
Google is changing. They used to be startup friendly. Now they focus on internal startups, and with a switch of a button cut services to potential competing startups.
EDIT: fill in the form you'll get the pricing... 10k$ upfront for 10MM views: http://www.google.com/support/enterprise/bin/request.py?cont...
I don't know any big site that gets more than 10$ per 1000 pageviews with ads. It's insane!
52? 6 days a week? Not every job allows for it. You want to abolish week-ends? Come on.
Being able to reach your peak IQ potential consistently is part of the daily hygiene of eating well, sleeping well, exercising well. And it's also a question of making the effort. If I can't measure it, it means you don't reach it. Or at least not often enough.
On the other hand, I agree that it might be overstated. But having worked with people that don't have the best minds, you start to believe IQ is not just crap.
Of course bad sleep will affect your IQ, and it doesn't make it less reliable. Why? You brain is less reliable when you had bad sleep, and IQ is a measurement of its peak performance. If you're not at peak performance any given day, your results will show.
It's all nice, but my machine's power adapter is 60W. That's its maximal theoretical output. (okay, with 90% efficiency that's 67W). It typically uses 20W to 40W depending on the load.
Plus, it auto-sleeps. Then it consumes just about 1W. Talk about efficiency.
