I was going to say, this sounds like it was written by someone who wasn’t around during 2012-2016. Aside from AI not much is new.
> A tech crash wouldn’t just mean a higher unemployment rate; it would also devastate local businesses and public services. Empty offices, empty coffee shops around those offices, empty balance sheets for coffee beans, and so on.
This already happened with COVID and remote work. The city was overflowing with tech hype and industry to support it 10 years ago.
In order for me to exercise for 35 minutes undisturbed I wake at 4am.
For mental health I’ll prioritize short 10 minute outdoor walks throughout the day. I snooze work notifications, if the world burns down in those 10 minutes so be it.
This time is sacred to me. No time for alcohol, no time for processed foods.
The hardest piece is consistently getting 7hrs of sleep, this is much harder for parents with newborns.
There are folks in their 60s/70s exercising everyday, have abs, and can deadlift more than probably most of the population in their 20s/30s.
I used to prioritize everything else before physical and mental health. Everything clicked into place after fixing this.
Maybe there are cases where they want to share this information with subscribers who authenticate and have authorization over some segments of the data. But it absolutely should not be in the hands of others as the default.
Waking up at 4AM everyday for a rigorous workout was necessary. Intense strength training or running a 5K at minimum and being done by 5AM. Sobriety as well to stick to the schedule with 6-7hrs of sleep. It works for me though.
I was routinely waking up in the middle of the night and unable to fall back asleep even on days I did not drink. Now I fall back asleep instantly.
I tried eliminating caffeine and practicing mindfulness before cutting out alcohol. I only stopped to be healthier, was pleasantly surprised when all my sleep issues went away. Have resumed my caffeine intake without any problems.
> I used this “AI” for my company about 6 months ago.
> We had to cancel after only two months because it kept making things up that weren’t easily checked. Ex. I noticed your company recently bought xx I think that was a savvy move
> Cue people asking me what I was referring to, where they could find an article, etc
> These unanswerable questions were all the responses I ever got back. The effective response rate was 0%. So not only was it not producing it was also actively hurting the brand with all the nonsensical comments.
Sensations of tiny zaps all over my body 24/7, most noticeable when falling asleep. Ibuprofen helped a bit, fortunately it went away after a few months.
A lot of those old folks have children who will inherit their homes.
He’s definitely got issues..
I used to think it was related to caffeine or work stress but cutting out drinking seems to have fixed all my sleep issues.
But raising interest rates and keeping them high in an environment where runaway government deficits and high government debts are causing inflation runs the risk of exacerbating inflation.
You have high interest rates on a large amount of government debt which continues to push _more_ money into the economy.
The Fed doesn’t have any real options at this point but to lower rates.
Arguably if the investment here works out we’ll see deflation through extreme technical advancements.
I think OP is suggesting AI algorithms and training methods will be improve resulting in enormous performance gains with existing hardware causing a similar surplus of infrastructure and crash in demand.
