allard··on Removed gendered pronouns; replace with neutral, singular "they"
Meanwhile, many great writers — Byron, Austen, Thackeray, Eliot, Dickens, Trollope and more — continued to use they and company as singulars, never mind the grammarians. In fact, so many people now use they in the old singular way that dictionaries and usage guides are taking a critical look at the prohibition against it. R. W. Burchfield, editor of The New Fowler’s Modern English Usage, has written that it’s only a matter of time before this practice becomes standard English: “The process now seems irreversible.” Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (11th ed.) already finds the singular they acceptable “even in literary and formal contexts,” but the Usage Panel of The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (4th ed.) isn’t there yet.

allard··on American Airlines earned an enemy
American used to send people to the wrong terminal at LGA. Do they still?

They use concourse D at terminal B but called (or call) it terminal D. No amount of any communication on this would register.

allard··on Why is it important to have a shorter résumé?
Opinions differ. I imagine many have an opinion on whether there should be a cover letter or note or not, and how long it should be. But this is rarely stated.
allard··on How web browsers resize images
correction — Opera Mobile Classic does — if the image is smaller than the display.
allard··on How web browsers resize images
I have found no mobile browser (except the native Android one on my older device) that will "easily" show one pixel of an image at one pixel of display. You pinch through this state but but not arrive at it unless you go to great trouble.

allard··on MyOpenID will be turned off on February 1, 2014
One thing nice about myOpenID was that you could auth in with nothing more than your myOpenID, if the consumer (do I have the right part?) allowed it. No name, no email address.

claimid.com exists too.

Won't that require the person you're sharing with to be on G+? Currently I share with family who has no interest in that by embedding.
