I personally have been blocking sentry and all relevant domains on my machines.
I understand this is not a generally applicable advice. For me that’s the right choice
Yeah, me too. The only thing that shows up is poke.com which has something to do with mobile notifications (and seems like at some point they offered some api, but maybe it was discontinued? or something, there are some medium posts talking about their api https://jpcaparas.medium.com/get-sms-or-imessage-alerts-from...
Working on an API product based on good old visual classifiers to detect Malaria in real world blood samples.
I know there are lots of publications claiming they have solved this problem, but there is no real world solution that actually works like a product you can plug your microscope to.
Have a big client ready to pay.
I am looking at https://www.ffmpeg.org/legal.html
It doesn't look like FFmpeg themselves have any problem with commercial use.
Unless you end up using the tech that falls under the mpeg pattents, based on what I am reading on the link above.
Right? or are there other issues I am missing?
I think this is a big problem we are going to face soon. And I wish I had a solution for it.
For example, recently I've been using Haxe + Heaps.io for a game I am working on. And unlike their docs on the web, which is out of date, their discord community is vibrant and VERY VERY helpful and friendly.
Which is both heartwarming and sad. Sad because all of this knowledge and advice is hidden from the public web.
How do you find this subset of discords? I mean most of the ones I hear about are from creators promoting their servers and by definition they’re too busy and chaotic. Any pointers?
maybe another way to say this is:
this is fantastic, keep up the good work. However, can you also PLEASE, add a pure "keyword search" where I can type a keyword and get a list of pages that have that exact word in them? in some cases (which might be the minority of searches, but still very important) I need to search for an exact good old fashioned keyword or phrase (similar to what `find` does except sorted by some magical "page rank" like metric. Like the good old days of google.
Maybe this can be a paid feature?!
My FaceID stopped working. I cannot %100 relate it to the update itself, but after the update, I also enabled the unlock with watch, after one day, I decided it it not for me and disabled it. After that my FaceID entirely stopped working. I have removed face id to add it again, but cannot add it back, it keeps saying "move iphone a little lower". Tried everything short of resetting to factory defaults and nothing has worked yet.
Is this available to consumers? or event as an experimental thing we can get our hands on? I cannot find much more than what is in that paper (which I only read the abstract, I admit).
I wish there was a solution for Cisco WebEx. To join in a browser and avoid their application.
On macos it automatically adds itself to the launchagents (or whatever that autolaunch on login is), it is not the easiest thing to get rid of (regular users might be stuck with it forever.
UI development is still very clunky on any desktop OS other than windows. (and I have not done UI on windows in a decade, it used to be pretty good back in the day).
iOS is good,
I mean like you want to create a utility to do a job for yourself, not a big project.
And I know there are lots of html / web based things you can run on desktop but they are even more complex, for me at least.
This claim is specifically related to blocking webserver in python vs concurrent webservers in go.
I assumed this is common knowledge, that scaling python webservers is a complicated thing, while in go you get a concurrent web server in standard library,
I had not used python for like 5 year, since when I migrated all my work to go. Recently I went back to python and was shocked to see how hard (relatively) it is to setup a (moderately) high performing web server in python.
I mean in my case I had a “data science” type application and sometimes a request would block and take a second to finish, and this meant a handful of users would bring the server to it’s knees (due to extremely high mem usage I could not have a lot of indepentend worker processes running at the same time),
I wish I could call python code from within a go web server with some ease and safety.

It is enough for you to only once have used the same browser / profile with both accounts. There are cookies to keep track of who is who and then it is a matter of matching identifiers on one platform to the other.
It is hard to believe you have been diligent enough to keep things absolutely 100% separate between Facebook and amazon.
I went through the online chat, after much back and forth the only thing they offer are (to a regular user like myself, don't know about business accounts):
2- passcode you setup online, 4-8 digit number, in addition to your number, that is required for both online or in persona interactions with ATT support
1- "we will inform you before we transfer your number"
