alienalp··on There's no way to report spam on Google Drive
My complain was about this policy let this happen. Obviously in a company like Google there should be company wise rule which won't let a stranger able to send notification to my phone.
alienalp··on There's no way to report spam on Google Drive
In recent days i also started receiving those. I don't get how Google manages to do something this stupid. I was considering switching to iphone. This case improved odds of it.
alienalp··on Global chip shortage may soon turn into an oversupply crisis
If crypto bubble pops which is very likely to happen soon, you will br able to get gpus pretty cheap.
alienalp··on Social engineering scam that nearly cost me all of my ETH
If you don't remember which smart contracts you have gave permissions of which coins you can check from debank. And you can also cancel one by one. It is not possible for humans to use ethereum without interacting with proxy. Front ends always can be comprimesed. When interacting with smart contracts approving spending is most important interaction to be careful about.
alienalp··on Bitcoin's fungibility graveyard
If you think like that there is nothing fungible in this world. Even gold probably can be traced by impurities in it although precious metals are definitely fungible enough compared to any other thing. Bitcoin is not creating any value for humanity's sake at this point it is just environmental disaster. Its supporters are retarded so they won't switch to POS. Governments has to interfere however they are also scared. They don't really know what to think nor how to react. However bitcoin may be causing some good in indirect ways. I really find ecosystem that cryptocurrencies created. I like crypto exchanges. In future they may serve to trade wide variety of real assets. (It is already possible though) Smart contracts are also good if i am not getting it wrong zkrollups may make defi scalable enough to be used by masses.
alienalp··on Bitcoin's fungibility graveyard
What are you expecting exchanges to do? If you passed through privacy service you need to prove that your money is not associated with crimes. It is completely your fault. I am actually happy to hear that people who are laundering money will have hard time.

On the other hand bitcoin is shitcoin. That is a fact anybody shills bitcoin is possible scammer. Anybody says bitcoin is future is retarded.

alienalp··on How much money flows into crypto each month?
This comment of mine sounds like optimistic. It is just i haven't seen any proof of printing. But i wouldn't trust and try to avoid if it possible because of its inheritance.
alienalp··on How much money flows into crypto each month?
This is just wrong. There is definitely issiues with Tether. They dont deserve their place but i havent seen any proof of this claim. Plus usdt is almost always trading slightly above a dollar. Which means even if they are buying bitcoin with printing usdt that is no different than buying bitcoin with their reserves. I dont see any reason why would they do so.
alienalp··on Theoretical Advances in AMM (Automated Market Maker) Understanding
With AMMs there is no advancement possible. Current AMMs (almost all of it) represent a trading strategy depends on correlation between assets. Further assets in liquidity pool decoupled from each other further it fails which happens most of the time.
alienalp··on More than 1M fewer students are in college, the lowest numbers in 50 years
You can't become a doctor without going med and there are many other degrees like that however for like Physics, maths, CS etc... collage is rather like a big club in its ways and it is not for everybody. Rather it is for very few people actually. In countries like mine people go to collage because job quality is seriously low. It is ridicules that in first comment someone complaints about forklift jobs pays as much as first year teacher. That is really what needed so the people who shouldn't be a teacher doesn't go to collage for economical reasons so people who should be a teachers become a teacher.
alienalp··on The WebSocket Handbook
It is better to implement it at front end. Actually it is not better it is kinda has to be that way. Because page will be already lagging and if you implement it at front at there won't be any lags. And it is better to have limits about update frequency at the back-end. If reactor temperature already announced 100 ms ago and it went to 1051K from 1050K maybe it is better to delay it for a second.
alienalp··on Crypto exchange BitMart confirms hack resulting in loss of $150M
NO. Uniswap does not work. There are too much details but. In short it just works when there isn't volatility and there aren't many people trading so their trades doesn't invalidate each others trades because of high slippage which has to be set low because otherwise arbitrage bots exploits slippage tolerance.
alienalp··on Apple stopped sales in Turkey after the lira crashed 15% in a day
Cost of my 200gb LTE subscription come down to 17$. And its most expensive operator.
alienalp··on NYT journalist hacked with Pegasus after reporting on previous hacking attempts
It should be explained to public how such exploit take place, with open sourcing necessary parts. Otherwise there is no way for us to know it wasn't intentional at first place. I am not meaning there is a possibility like Apple as a company decides to put exploits. However governments can easily do it with single engineer at right place.
alienalp··on NPM package ‘ua-parser-JS’ with more than 7M weekly download is compromised
It makes so much sense, surprised me that it doesn't exist.
alienalp··on NPM package ‘ua-parser-JS’ with more than 7M weekly download is compromised
For packages that popular, authority of more than one people should required or at least some kind of delay until npm update/install command catch it unless specifically that version set. If i remember correctly if someone hijacked my npm account and published something i wouldn't even noticed it. Obviously publisher should get an email or maybe even sms.
alienalp··on Apple M1 Max Geekbench Score
Actually there is nothing to figure out. If limitations of macos and arm cpu is not issue for you and you want a lightweight laptop then you buy a m1 macbook. m1 macbook air first Apple product i bought and i also had latest gen ryzen laptop at that time (which was superior to intel). Simply there is nothing to compare. It is not an alternative to m1 cpu. At least 5 years behind it. Actually it looks like it will never possible for that architecture to catch up with arm for low tdp siutations. If you ever used last gen windows laptop you will know there are always bugs. And installing ubuntu on a latest gen machine. LOL. That won't make you happy even if it is possible. I also had an issue with bluetooth mouse being laggy. It seems like patched now. Bugs were really an issue with m1 cpu but i assume there shouldn't be much issues now.
alienalp··on MacBook Pro 14-inch and MacBook Pro 16-inch
First gen of m1 mac was first Apple product that i bought. I can't say i like Apple ecosystem or macos. I am opposite of Apple fanboy. I don't like Apple and this price they made me pay another reason for it but simply anybody who want and who can afford will buy it. There aren't any alternatives.
alienalp··on Gift card gang extracts cash from 100k inboxes daily
How can you register a number if its already registered?
alienalp··on China has forbidden under-18s from playing games for more than three hours/week
"Under-18s" are already in control of their parent so their parents can force such rule and allowed to do so. So this one is not really comparable with great firewall. For example in my country parents can't chose to not send their kids to school. This one is in same category with that. Obviously it is ridicules to common sense though it is also sound pretty normal thing for a government like China to do.
alienalp··on Google is committing $10B to advance cybersecurity
Simply they cant make any good with giving that much money to third parties. There arent enough third party to make good use of that much money and it is very hard to spend that money strategically.
alienalp··on Absurd-SQL – Use sqlite3 on the web with storage in IndexedDB
It is what available for persistent storage. IndexedDB run queries very slow but throughput is good enough so rather big chunks of data stored in single cell to offset latency. And IndexedDB is just one storage backend. Author says he experimented with webkitFileSystem but didn't matched IndexedDBs througput. Point of this project is storage medium abstracted so in future it will be replaced with what's better.
alienalp··on The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind (1976)
Double slit and delayed-choice quantum eraser experiments clearly proves there is something in humans causes universe to switch statically calculating particle movements rather than statistically calculating results of their movement. I don't understand how this is still being talked meanwhile there isn't much attention to real science.
alienalp··on An app for M1 Macs that plays the sound of a fan as CPU usage goes up
I already set tracking speed to highest but this is really one of the worst mouse i have ever used. Only reason i am still using it my other bluetooth mouse is seriously laggy when i use with m1 mac.
alienalp··on An app for M1 Macs that plays the sound of a fan as CPU usage goes up
M1 mac is also my first Apple product. And now i bought magic mouse 2 and fuck Apple. It is like laggy.
alienalp··on Waking just one hour earlier cuts depression risk by double digits
I am in depression since like i was born and at the short period of times when i am out of depression for complicated reasons, i was getting up early nonintentionally.
alienalp··on The Apple M1 compiles Linux 30% faster than my Intel i9
What did you test was most probably wasnt compiled for m1 or just a rare thing. Until M1 i didnt buy single Apple product. But M1 is clearly superior. You feel the difference clearly just by browsing web. There isnt even need to test anyhting someone who used decent intel/amd laptop and m1 laptop in short period of time will realize the difference.
alienalp··on How M1 Macs feel faster than Intel models: it’s about QoS
That compiler most probably not native to m1 arm processor.
alienalp··on A second Bitcoin exchange collapses in Turkey amid crackdown on cryptocurrencies
Most exchange don't accept credit card. And even if they accept they charge additional fees. Almost all exchanges charge users for transaction costs and most of the time more than the real cost itself. Most of the new exchanges runs their own bots to put liquidity.
alienalp··on A second Bitcoin exchange collapses in Turkey amid crackdown on cryptocurrencies
This one was very shitty and amateur and wasnt popular at all.
