ps: I truly believe most of people here talking about Hong Kong have no idea how Hong Kong works before and after CCP. I found it both sad and amusing, but often time I found myself stupid when posting on the Internet. But anyhow, the facts should be delivered.

Not sure why this is downvoted. I agree with this point. There is a certain level of ambition that is lacking in Confucius culture, which is a very critical drive when exploring the unknown field.

Well, because the quality of life is indeed getting better and better in China. CCP successfully satisfied the fundamental need of people who were living under extreme poverty before right? Perhaps the next generation of Chinese people will start to demand more freedom, etc..
alexron782··on How is China able to provide enough food to feed over 1B people?
You should post the following paragraph as well:

"As a result, the average vegetable price in Tibet has reduced by 90% over the past decade and they don’t have to import vegetables from nearby provinces anymore. Most of the Tibetans can finally afford to eat watermelons. Who doesn’t like eating watermelons?

You know that most Tibetans historically only eat yak meat, milk, cheese, and bread? They couldn’t grow anything in such a harsh climate. Only monks could have the luxury to eat vegetables. Now it is the solid proof that the Chinese government didn’t just destroy temples in Tibetan culture but helped them eat vegetables and fruits."

Well, it depends. For me the Chinese censorship towards google/facebook is not only about politics, it also helps a lot for local companies to become gigantic. In some way they ban google/facebook == US ban Pirate Bay, etc. They harm local businesses.
