alexgrcson YouTube videos that have almost zero previous views

I created a very similar app:

https://alexgarces.github.io/loststories/

The titles of all the videos shown are random strings based on the default media file names of some popular devices, such as iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. Some examples of these titles would be IMG_8869.MOV, DSC 0711 or MVI 6710.

All the videos, requested in real time, are not more than one year old. They are almost undiscovered, usually with very few views (or not even one).

That sounds exactly like my current job. :(

alexgrcson Show HN: Loststories.tv – An infinite playlist of unknown YouTube videos

Thank you! My idea from the beginning was to create a very simple and "brutalist" design to focus the attention on the videos.

alexgrcson Show HN: Loststories.tv – An infinite playlist of unknown YouTube videos

Hello, here the creator.

LOSTSTORIES.TV is an infinite playlist of unknown and obscure IMGXXXX YouTube videos.

The titles of these videos are random strings based on the default media file names of some popular devices, such as iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. Some examples of these titles would be IMG_8869.MOV, DSC 0711 or MVI 6710.

All the videos, requested in real time, are not more than one year old. They are almost undiscovered, usually with very few views (or not even one).

Any feedback is welcome. Thanks! :)

The <address> example is wrong. <address> defines contact information, but it's not appropriate for all postal and e-mail addresses. http://html5doctor.com/the-address-element/

alexgrcson Ask HN: Single Person startup/company?

Amazing project and very inspiring! I'm curious about how do you scale to start getting revenue. For example, at remoteok.io companies have to pay to post a job. Was it for free at the beginning? How did you do the transition from free/low-fee to 200$? Thanks and keep up the good work!

alexgrcson Ask HN: Simple web app ideas?

Good one. Now I just have to find a specific niche for the board! Thanks.

alexgrcson Ask HN: Simple web app ideas?

Thanks a lot for the ideas! My idea is to use JavaScript in front-end and back-end, but I'm also considering Laravel with Vue.js. I did a small project with Laravel some months ago and I really liked it!

Thanks for the advice, I wasn't aware of that. I'm adding it to my profile.

alexgrcson 2014 Predictions for Web Design

I think Wikipedia is not "undesigned", it's just a very well designed site. And the net is plenty of bad designers.

Sometimes things have to be simplified and redefined. In some ways "undesigning" is a very important part of the design process, in order to maintain the functionality of the product. This is the real purpose of design, not making things look cute and over animated.

This is not about politics. This is about human rights, respect and dignity.

alexgrcson Poll: Are you an Introvert, Extrovert or do you have Aspergers?

I think this is not black or white, It's more like a grayscale.

I'm surely more introvert than extrovert, but not completely introvert. Even if I feel some Asperger symptoms in myself in certain social situations, I also enjoy to party and meet new people.

So I'm sure anyone is 100% introvert or 100% extrovert all the time (this would be really insane).
