Sample size 1, great argument buddy. Go look at all the comments that get flagged every day, not for being inflammatory, but just for being unpopular. And unlike reddit you can't even read them on HN after they die. They're so afraid of dissenting narrative enough downvotes means deletion.

They also edited the voting algorithm for the_donald subreddit to suppress its content and the only way we know that is because they fucked it up on the first try and made the entire frontpage ONLY TD content for an hour or more.

HN is more of an echo chamber than reddit because the moderation can be effectively done by just dan and there's no subreddit niches on HN to allow diversity of opinions.

Alternatively, my time is a lot more valuable than it was when I was stuck in school all day every day. I am not limited to where I can meet people. Why waste time trying to start a relationship that begins with difficulty when theres so many options that don't.

I have about ten hours and loved it but I just can't justify the cost. It's so expensive when I have so little disposable income despite making six figures

It's pointless to try to defend Musk on this website. It will get flagged and removed and no one listens to logic

It's biggest innovation was ensuring tobacco regulations for everyone else while making sure it didn't apply to them.

That sounds like you're inciting violence which is an easy way to get banned. I know it's not your intention but it's clear why Twitter decided to ban if that's accurate

I'm a software engineer and have given considerable thought to leaving the US because I am struggling to come to terms with how my taxes are spent and politics in general here. It's universally bad. I'm considering Finland, Sweden, Norway, or Switzerland. They all rank high in happiness, high in democratic representation, and low in corruption. All are difficult to immigrate to but I basically feel a moral obligation to explore the option
