This was a long-missing piece, and it’s great to finally be closing that gap.

It seems that Drips has been funding FOSS builders with real money for a while, so I'm not sure what issue you have with that.

Drips has nothing in common with tea.xyz, and I have never come across any PR spamming issue related to it, as it operates in a very different way. Can you provide any evidence?

You understand that their work is fully open-source right? So there is no need to believe any promises, just fork the code and move on.

culture doesn't change over night.

there is no surprise that there is a big group supporting TK, but that doesn't mean much at this stage.

founders set the culture in an organisation, and hire people that gel well with their views of the world / values. so it's a logical consequence that a big part of the workforce will support him. But that also might be the real problem for Uber's future...

desire/poverty + descent education system (especially in classic sciences) + long history of political 'experimentation' in the area might explain the phainomenon

While Spotify does a great job in marketing, I think that in reality, YouTube and SoundCloud recommendations are by far superior to 'Discover Weekly'.
