aginn··on Ask HN: Can someone please start groupon for airlines?
I am not sure this would work because the airlines industry would rather have the seat be empty honesty. I have flown a lot and also have used passes. The airlines would rather have an empty seat than sell it for 50 bucks on a 200 dollar flight.

Plus, the airlines industry cannot afford this type of disruption. They are already holding on for dear life (the American based carriers at least)

What would be more interesting is being able to exchange tickets on a secondary listing but this would have to be a corporate venture.

aginn··on Ask HN: Anyone else start getting legit emails marked as spam in Gmail?
I have. Some of my team has been sending me emails and I have not been receiving them. First Amazon Cloud, then PS3 Network, then LastPass, now Gmail... is our world falling apart?
aginn··on Thunderbolt Macs are Here, But Where Are the Thunderbolt Devices?
I was just wondering that because I just joined the Apple Religion (I did not buy a Centi-pad). Another member of the Apple Religion was hyping up Thunderbolt, but I have nothing to plug it into. Is there some hardware out there? It would be cool to have a backup with a thunderbolt attachment.
aginn··on Google's Groupon Competitor Goes Live
It seems that Pandora and other Ad engines are obsessed with Groupon-like advertisements. I am concerned about Ad revenue all over the web if Groupon and Living Social goes under. I hardly think that this type of advertising is healthy in the long-run.

Then again, I do not think Group is concerned about the long-run

aginn··on Google's Groupon Competitor Goes Live
Google won't be able to break into the market. They are late to the game. Has anyone heard anything about Facebook Offers? Google is good at three things: acquiring startups, email, and search.

It is like Google has ADD.

aginn··on Startup Idea--Need Feedback
It is a good idea and there are some web entrepreneurs I know in the Dallas area that are building something similar. Everyone is right who have commented that you might run into problems with the SEC, then again Kickstarter often is used as a solicitation platform of investors. There is a website in Europe that allows people to fund startup ideas. I could not find it, but I know it exists.

Recently, the SEC considered changing the rules for small investment amounts (less than 1K). Maybe in the coming years, your idea will be possible.

There are creative ways around the SEC rules but it does get messy when people want to cash out. Just get a good lawyer!

aginn··on Is your city ready for electrical vehicles?
Is it just me or is venturebeat buying into this whole green movement a little to much? They featured a article about natural gas a week ago that was grossly inaccurate and was devoid of any research. It was upsetting because I really like Matt and his operation.
aginn··on Android catching up to Apple in app revenue
Eventually Android will overtake Apple in app revenue. It is simple economics. The thing is, I do not think that Apple really cares.
aginn··on [dead]
This is kind of what Apple does. Apple sells the vision and value of the product, not the features and functionality. Apple wants people to buy into the vision
aginn··on Introducing the Startup Guild: A Community for Entrepreneurs
Hey everyone!

I think we solved this problem, at least in our community. Our first phase is in DFW. We are gathering incubators to start the funding process. We are looking to expand if anyone wants to implement elsewhere. We are very "open-source"
