adibalcan··on Show HN: Price simulation game: What is the price impact over your sales
I had this idea of a price simulator in a competitive landscape.

You are a store manager and you need to adjust the price every day to increase the sales.

Each competitor store has a different strategy so you need to adjust yours to compete with them.

adibalcan··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (February 2026)

Stanley cups took over the world and became not only the go-to water bottle, but the symbol of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. By using the right hashtags and hopping on various TikTok trends, Stanley ensured its place as a household name in the tumbler industry.
adibalcan··on Show HN: I collected 3M reviews for a hotel and restaurant benchmark
Thank you! Do you have any use case in mind? I would like to develop these benchmarks more and am looking for suggestions.
adibalcan··on Show HN: I collected 3M reviews for a hotel and restaurant benchmark
We started with the approach of doing it regularly and we created an automation using Python and Selenium. In terms of scanning the entire process takes about 2 weeks.
adibalcan··on Show HN: I collected 3M reviews for a hotel and restaurant benchmark
In the following weeks, we plan to create more customer review benchmarks. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
adibalcan··on Should I Write a Game Engine or Use an Existing One?
Is this a rhetorical question?
adibalcan··on Show HN: Trickle – Let GPT-4 Understand Your Screenshots

adibalcan··on Show HN: Solvethemurders.com – AI murder mystery game
I don’t want to register to give it a try
adibalcan··on DevToys – A Swiss army knife for developers
How can you integrate chatGPT here?
adibalcan··on Show HN: I’m a startup nerd, I spend roughly 10h a week researching trends
Do you have a preview?
adibalcan··on Show HN: I finished v5 of a JVM framework I've spent spent half a decade making
From my understanding this framework doesn’t include an ORM. I consider the ORM one of the most important component for a web framework
adibalcan··on Show HN: pyinfra v2
Seems like a combination between salt and ansible
adibalcan··on Show HN: I made a 90s version of my landing page
Nice idea for a marketing campaign. Make a 90 version of your site and post it everywhere. The curious people will click.
adibalcan··on Show HN: Hubfs – File System for GitHub
I do not understand what problem solves
adibalcan··on Selecting a programming language can be a form of premature optimization
I don’t know any business bankruptcy because of selecting wrong programming language.
adibalcan··on Show HN: Open-source, self-hosted data management app and internal tool builder
For me seems to be very similar with metabase.com What I don't have at Metabase is the option to build Insert/Update forms. It's just read-only.
adibalcan··on Show HN: Keyboard Layout for Programmers
Very interesting but the problem I see here is that we still have keyboards printed wit qwerty layout and this makes harder the transition. Maybe on dinamic keyboards (like phone and tablets) this will work better
adibalcan··on Show HN: Salty, a minimalist DevOps tool inspired by Saltstack and Ansible
I think better documentation is needed. I don't understand how can I use it.
adibalcan··on Django 4.0 alpha release notes
The Link is broken
adibalcan··on [dead]
At this moment yes, but we are planning to present another face of the app here.
adibalcan··on Show HN: A tiny browser game where you have 45 seconds to trade a fake stock
If you are curious about the logic of values used in this game, I found a comment in the source code:

/* * Generates price data by calculating a 0%..7% movement magnitude multiplied by the "market sentiment", * which is either super bearish, bearish, or bullish. The probabilities of the sentiment can also be configured * marketSentimentProbs. */

adibalcan··on Show HN: This website is valid JSON
I think that the advantage of this approach is that same output can be consumed either by browser or an API consumer.
adibalcan··on Show HN: You don’t have to write code that generates PDF invoices for your SaaS
I had a frustrating experience building the invoicing module for one of our applications so I built a designer for PDF templates that can be filled with content by API calls. You can check it out here: https://getpdfapi.com Any feedback will be very much appreciated!
