achillesheels··on EE261 – The Fourier Transform and Its Applications
I believe it is because electricity is fundamentally perfect in its uniform motion providing us to operate quantitative changes of its physical coordination when it is patterned periodically, permitting the extension of imaginary space to physical space via the reliance on the pure numerical relation between experimental measure and The Frequency Domain.

It is truly a godsend.

achillesheels··on The Layoff
Apply that to academia and education lol
achillesheels··on Researchers taking on fraudulent science
Except that HN does not subsist off of non-volition* fnding towards subject matters which don’t benefit human life. And the ones that purportedly do are so off, we have the evidence of the genetic regression to the mean in the randomly sampled scientists heredity vis-a-vis independence in free will power, I.e. they come from peasants and slaves and lack original insight such as perceiving the world entirely electromagnetically.

The lack of training social scientists in cell life for a bachelors, or the biological sciences in electrical signaling, or the physical scientists in their necessary inferior perspective of natural changes because of measurement imperfections by their instruments and their body’s senses, is all telling for a community which has been avoiding the successes of electrical engineering for over a century, likely because they don’t want to do that math ;)

achillesheels··on Warren Buffett Has Underperformed the Stock Market for the Last 20 Years
I think this demonstrates the preciousness or scarcity of good books of business in public equity markets. Those with good long-term forecasts and not “get rich quick” exits over the last two decades.
achillesheels··on Young Americans Are Dying at Alarming Rates, Reversing Years of Progress
I represent half that country. Are you familiar with sexual dimorphism, comrade?
achillesheels··on Ask HN: Side project of more than $2k monthly revenue? what's your project?
I agree, talent is triumphant. May I kindly ask where did you and your friends first meet?
achillesheels··on Pursuing status will never bring true happiness
This is why Aristotle, Plato, Seneca, et al are so highly valued - they are born in positions of leisure, as freemen, and speak about truly good acts which are away from the transience of society towards the permanence of the soul.
achillesheels··on Ask HN: Software for interpreting analog music chords?
Cool I'll take a look at it! -Joseph A.
achillesheels··on Ask HN: Software for interpreting analog music chords?
Thanks! -Joseph A.

achillesheels··on A summary of my learnings on how to find startup ideas
Because that is an abstract way of solving problems. One needs to feel the pain of the customer to gain necessarily greater “domain” expertise in intuitively perceiving conditional possibilities which are necessary in producing value, or regenerative feedback gain in the human system, e.g. society.
achillesheels··on A summary of my learnings on how to find startup ideas
I’d define it as necessarily causing greater physical efficiencies of human motion or human action per circadian periodical cycle, where high-tech causes necessarily >10 efficiencies in coordinating human action for achieving the same goal.
achillesheels··on A summary of my learnings on how to find startup ideas
I would further mentioned that by being a late comer, one can actually gain in what others have learned form their mistakes, to enter at a better than conceivable market position. This is the principal doubt an investor ought to consider when beginning a new venture: will the motion I put into the markets grow or decay? And certainly, it is simplified to invest in a market where there is actually demonstrated value in there being n>1 competitors.
achillesheels··on Ask HN: Are there any positive sum board games?
How about Acquire? The game ends with all players liquidating their built up equity. You cannot lose, only benefit in the tiled “marketplace”.
achillesheels··on Dividend Tracking for US Stock Markets
Hey! Love the idea! Do you have any plans for incorporating back-dates dividends for investment research purposes? For instance, id love to see Coca-Colas historical dividends.
achillesheels··on Ask HN: Anyone else feel trapped in FANG? How did you get out?
I think developing an artistic hobby is incredibly beneficial right now. The ability to compound rote memorization with natural curiosity leads to original merit in creating beautiful experiences in the minds of others.

This person has the ability to make that possibly serious with enough prepared latitude in making the jump if/when the soul desires. Worst case outcome: a fun social life.

achillesheels··on Ask HN: Where do you find the interesting jobs?
Sir,

I disagree that shareholder value is a curse. I recommend The Visible Hand by Alfred D. Chandler Jr. who noted that over the last century there has been a shift from family-managed businesses to managerial-management which has more loyalty to themselves and abstract owners of the company, creating these kind of effects wherein a subsection of the managerial class can hop and skip through executive management irrespective of the tire fire they leave behind. Or, similarly, the churn and burn of certain speculators seeking immediate gain through capturing the business’s organizational structure to serve its own, as mentioned, selfish ends. Contrast this to the historical need for going to public markets, which is to quickly raise funding to continue to scale the scope of a business firm’s productive assets :)

achillesheels··on I accidentally discovered one of the most egregious pharma scams imaginable
That’s why it’s important to teach young people that the soul exists :)
achillesheels··on Tell HN: I have the perfect job, why is it not enough?
I do always want more, but more of what I have been pursuing, to which I have been content in the incremental progress.

But show much of that progress is towards activities which transcend the work day. It is my personal deviation from “heroic materialism” that has made me a much more enlightened man.

achillesheels··on The New American Micro-SaaS Dream
You did do something different. There were two different applications correct? One had more urgency as a solution than the other. Why was that?
achillesheels··on Judge: California’s women on boards law is unconstitutional
If the spirit of the law of corporations is to serve the publics interest, and profit-motivation serves the public interest by increasing the capital savings in private society, then why do a variety of view points matter in achieving the objective? How does a board member with more feminine care knowledge increase the available capital for lending into, say, nail salons, by being more proactive about such internal capital expenditures toward more femininity?
achillesheels··on Origin of life theory involving RNA–protein hybrid gets new support
I love the idea that this can be modeled using Signals and Systems Theory, e.g. Fourier Analysis of the digital signaling of protein sequencing
achillesheels··on Workers discover ‘unprecedented’ Phoenician necropolis in southern Spain
So the roads were not paved after the 4th century due to plague and not a failed civilized administration? Would you consider the Merovingians as civilized as the Phoenicians?
achillesheels··on Ask HN: What tech companies/industries will do well in a recession?
There is a significant population on Planet Earth that are "permahedged" from any material anxieties. Clearly, we are talking about annual consumption trends of $500K per individual, and not in the luxury yacht race. (They likely already have access to one if needed).

This is the market to cater to. The question is: with what truly novel good?

achillesheels··on Startup failure stories: 20 months in, 2K hours spent and 200K € lost (2021)
That’s closed minded. I can find 100 different product data sheets in the next hour to disprove you, but why waste our time?
achillesheels··on I decided that I must live my life on my terms
How are you so certain I wasn't place on Earth for a reason? I was caused, right? Sure, by my parents, but there is a regression to this causality.

If we keep ourselves within the physical domain, experimentally there is the documentation of a beginning to physical causes that we can observe, and an ordering to such causality which demonstrates its continuum in movement to this present position where I am overwhelmingly purposeful, because I am able to reason my ends which are to give people greater limits of happiness - which begins with making efforts at providing security to families so they can form their own purposeful lives.

Unless you are to claim that reasoning, such as mathematically, is a mistake? But how can that be true?

achillesheels··on I wasted $40k on a fantastic startup idea (2020)
What matters is the succession of factors that are in founders or companies control. The objection is that most of Google's success is luck - uncontrollable good fortune. It's precisely the motivation towards gaining fortune that leads to conscientious decision-making in principling the action of one's mind to will the body into organizing itself with others in the future society - positively.
achillesheels··on I wasted $40k on a fantastic startup idea (2020)
It's actually because Google had predetermined intrinsic value to human beings in filtering through the world wide web which demonstrates one cannot simply launch a competitor without offering substantially significant more value in achieving the same objective.
achillesheels··on I wasted $40k on a fantastic startup idea (2020)
Mining proprietary data is indeed a value proposition.
achillesheels··on I wasted $40k on a fantastic startup idea (2020)
I believe the answer rests in offering a solution to a problem that is worth more time than money to solve on one's own, or a new solution that creates more opportunities for a customer to grow their profitability.
