abinaya_rl··on India bans TikTok, WeChat, and dozens of other Chinese apps
All other democratic countries should join India in banning Chinese apps

Don’t allow Chinese apps until they open their own market to freely allow foreign apps like Google, Facebook, Youtube etc to function

abinaya_rl··on Ask HN: How do I reach making $1-1.5k/mo in 13 months?
- Pick an idea that people are already paying for.

- Talk to the users on a community or cold tweet or email them asking about the difficulties.

- Start solving the problems and onboard them as users

- Pitch other users with the same problem

- Charge them upfront, don't give it away for free

abinaya_rl··on SpaceX Starlink is now its own ASN and present at the Seattle Internet Exchange
Excellent report. I'm wondering the tech used in Google’s Loon balloon internet service and this Starlink is different? Does both are using a similar tech?
abinaya_rl··on Ask HN: What do you use Google Sheets for?
I've been using Google sheets to curate the remote jobs from many job sources. It's a really an easy database for me since I have limited database skills.

Also, Airtable for some cases and when it's relevant.

abinaya_rl··on New 13-inch MacBook Pro
> Better Trackpad

I've been using Dell for the last 6 months. This is the deal-breaker for me.

abinaya_rl··on Apple’s abandonment of Intel chips is inevitable (2018)
I would love an ARM based MacBook Air but for the Mac book pro's I would like to prefer the Intel one.
abinaya_rl··on Show HN: Generate a static website from any back end
This is looking great, I'm wondering if you folks can support webflow.com exports?
abinaya_rl··on Ask HN: How can I pick a side project and stick with it?
I would suggest to make something over the weekend and set a 7-day deadline and come up with the basic version of the idea. Charge the user a fee, it can be anything.. just put a paywall.

- Release it on Product Hunt, corresponding Reddits, cold pitch people on Twitter

- Get a few paying customers

- Signup for IndieHackers and celebrate your small milestones.

- Continue the above steps until you get 100 customers

- Play with the different pricing plans

- Explore how to get a word out of your product.

abinaya_rl··on Ask HN: Best Office Chair?
Proud owner of Steelcase Leap V2

I find the Leap more comfortable for sitting long periods of time. The Leap also allows me to sit on one of my legs (I know, not a good idea), while the Aeron makes this impossible. The Leap also has more adjustments for the arms which I move quite often. Regardless of the chair model, take frequent breaks and our back does not made for long sitting!

abinaya_rl··on Show HN: Open Startup List
Lately, there have been good number of startups releasing their revenue. But once they have grown some level they stopped sharing revenue (Buffer, Transistor). Maybe because of clones or competitors?
