i use google family link - which allows me to limit any apps/websites my child could view. i paired this with nextdns to auto-block obvious blacklisted sites (porn, etc) for a child. Works really well.

i built my own solution - mostly custom (aside from hardware), shut off from the internet. It has an option to sync to <cloud provider> but isnt required - have a fleet of (3) cameras at my house that i fully control and operate - have been running fully autonomous for the last month.

I did it because RING is too easy to setup and give your valuable footage and life to. I havent marketed it yet

Im building a script for my own dev to spin up droplets on DigitalOcean to run high performing LLMs like H100 - this is all prompted through open web ui (ollama) . I find the models my 12GB GPU will tolerate have too many hallucinations - its ok for diffing for example or basic scripts, but anything somewhat complicated I need 60GB+ GPU which isnt feasible for me to buy..

They happen everyday if not every week but many aren't widely publisied

Nice idea, im always looking to meet others, around philly. It'd be helpful to have a daily email of users in my specific area, or maybe a monthly one for people in close by cities e.g. nyc for me.

I see its value, thanks for posting

Working on something in this space ;)

im in a similar situation. i just do my job, and then focus on what i want to learn, while I find a new job

I'll start -

It decreases their desire to keep me, if there are layoffs.

Mika - this looks similar to a fuzzing tool in security - what were you hoping to achieve with this project?

Are you detecting the response upon submitting a request?

Thanks. How are tech experts/IC different? Can you explain?

Also, in your opinion what is an absurd salary?

I wanted to comment, I feel like Im in a situation where I feel i could be layed off ... mgmt asking me to document a whole process Ive worked on for over 3 years here.

How did you know?

what do you mean by: That should be a huge factor in your decision.

hmm, if that is the case - why would companies be having me do 5 rounds each with 1-2 people on each round?

I've gone on interviews for about a month, and many of them panel interviews.

The panel interviews sometimes get back right away, but just got done another yesterday and I havent heard one way or the other..?

Curious on others recent experiences

going this route too - django is a solid framework - well supported, and documented. Ill be going this route, and as others said rebuilding entirely once product market fit is found

Likely 190+ is the going rate. I see In upper echelon markets 225-250

Because paying for SO would be the opposite reason why it works. Its about community and helping others with technical questions, not about lets see how we can monetize it - never has. They have career ads that help with that and might provide value to technical users its more tailored to

I love to hike - 33, it started as a supplementary way to exercise during the pandemic for me, and now always seems to be apart of the weekend plan - wheres the next hard hike?
