I realize I'm being pretty pedantic here, you're right that spend $100/day requires massive usage plus buying moderately expensive weed. But it's not, technically, impossible.

And yeah, definitely not a sustainable or healthy habit...I'm ok now, but my career took a permanent hit. Oh well.
> The research shows that genetically it is impossible to prove whether a cannabis plant is an Indica or Sativa. There is no difference in the genes.
> The overall chemical profile, like the genetics, shows no apparent difference between the labels.
That's pretty extreme, even for heavy smokers, but far from impossible.
I spent my whole 20s severely addicted to it without even realizing, and when I had to stop I felt like I was going crazy. Couldn't sleep, couldn't think, couldn't eat. It's really better to nip it in the bud.
It's like telling an alcoholic to try switching from vodka to tequila, because vodka makes you angry and depressed but tequila makes you a fun drunk. THC is THC, and any difference is psychosomatic.
They're saying anti-democratic behavior is being punished, which implies that Poland is pro-democracy.

Baden-Powell scouting is co-ed, non-religious, and founded in the 70s. Boy Scouts of America is the 'original' version, and, as recently as 15 years ago (I think some of this has changed since) explicitly excluded atheists, girls, and gay kids. BSA leadership is (or was, I think this has changed) heavily influenced by conservative Mormons.
Also, they culturally appropriate the fuck out of Native American culture. Think white suburban dads dancing around with costume jewelry and plastic headdresses dancing 'native style' dances to 'commune with the Great Spirit of the land'.
I'm glad of my time spent in BSA, but I wish I'd had the opportunity for BP instead.
I'm unsarcastically glad that you had a different experience at Google than me. This was not my experience, nor the experience of anyone else on my immediate team.
We didn't create our own, but we did migrate our codebase to a new server-side rendering framework twice in my time there.
Also, nobody on our team ever got promoted.
Ex googler here, and when I was there 4 years ago this was true of L3 and L4. My entire team was L3's and L4's. We spent literally all of our time on projects with no meaningful impact on the company, but that made for promo packets.
6 engineers focused on rewriting the form to input credit cards on YouTube for 3 years. Completely insane.
I majored in Computer Science and Physics. Which of these disciplines would mergers and acquisitions have been in? Should my algorithms class taught us about diluted stock and RSUs vs ISOs? Does my quantum mechanics professor have a unit on hostile takeovers?
Not at Google, you can't. Firing someone who's performing abysmally still takes up to 6 months, between all the process and PIPs and paperwork and shit.
