I know it would read files faster, but in most cases reading a couple of PHP files is not such a big improvement.
My guess would be maybe databases ? Read time improvement for MySQL ?

They don't have SSD, but SSD doesn't do everything, I prefer more ram.
EDIT: If some of you don't know OVH, it's because its new in America, but its not some cheap company, it's a European company that is very successful there. And just recently created a datacenter in North America. (I used to live in France, and have known them for some years).
it's true that it has fallen behind, we'll see if Ohanzee will do something interesting. But there are so many PHP frameworks, and so few that are successful.
The graphics look like it was something created in 2002 using Paint Shop Pro.
I'm not a designer, but in order for me to install a game, the design needs to look appealing.
JetBrains isn't free, and for PHP I do prefer Netbeans anyways.
A contractor is self employed, and you actually pay a lot more taxes (and the company pays less).
Writing that from scratch isn't easy.
And then a few things I save time on: grids buttons (in case I don't want to bother making my own) modal popups (they are easy to use) forms
I can't buy a house in NY. I'll have to move upstate for that. I have only one car, second car would be a little bit hard.

I never just use audio chat. I video chat even with my coworkers.
I make 7400$ / month, he makes 2600 euros.
But he has health care paid for, 5 weeks vacations, 35 hour work weeks.
If I take a plan for me and my wife, the cheapest plan is 660$, which makes it 7920$ a year.
I also have a child, but I can take a plan just for her, which would be 280$.
I'm 26 so I went to the doctor maybe twice in 6 years, I only want coverage in case of emergency.
PS: I can pay 5000$ out of pocket if needed.
Even if PHP or Java aren't "cool", they are really nice to program with when you master them.
And its good to learn to quickly learn other languages. In 20 years Rails, Node or Mongo might not be there anymore, its good to not get "habits" in IT.
PS: Java has one advantage, you can create web/software and android apps with it. Mobile is pretty trendy right now. But it will take you a lot more time to learn then PHP.
It's nice, but if someone slightly bumps into you, you're dead :/
One mistake I made with Dropbox is installing it on one of my linux servers, on my server I moved Dropbox folder, and it made Dropbox believe that I have deleted everything on my server. So it deleted most of my files, and recovering it was a mess. Even talking after talking with Dropbox support, I couldn't recover everything :(.
Looking for a better solution, but I need the cloud as I want to be able to access some of the files from my phone.
I went through your list of features, but didn't find anything I'd really be interested in. Not for me.
EDIT: Nevermind, this doesn't have rss!
I'm a windows user and like it. But I'm more likely to try elementary os then zorin. zorin's theme looks like another bad linux theme. The start menu looks ok, but that's pretty much it.
