_2d30··on Apple has removed most of the towns and villages in Lebanon from Apple maps?
Removed means they were there before which means comparison to other maps means nothing. It's possible Apple never had them in the first place. It's completely unverifiable with the link or your links.
_2d30··on Apple has removed most of the towns and villages in Lebanon from Apple maps?
Actually I can't because I've never seen if Apple ever had them in the first place.
_2d30··on Apple has removed most of the towns and villages in Lebanon from Apple maps?
Currently 50 points and is just a link to Apple Maps with an unverified claim.

EDIT: I'm at -2 for stating a fact.

_2d30··on Sam Altman's response to Molotov cocktail incident
1) It's terrible that this has happened. People who do this are evil.

2) It's atrocious that Sam makes it seem like any investigative reporting into him as a major public figure at the head of one of the 5 most important companies in the world is somehow responsible for it.

3) Sam is always playing the smol bean victim for sympathy points. To be clear, he is absolutely the victim of an atrocious crime. However, this post is not done for any reason other than to continue the exact same playbook he has for the last N years in order to manipulate public opinion to his favor. This post will do nothing to stop deranged, evail people but it may make people feel sympathy for him.

_2d30··on Maine is about to become the first state to ban major new data centers
In fairness your calculation looks at the most expensive element of the DC but ignores all of the associated parts required to utilize the H100: CPU, memory, cooling, etc. No to say that that flips the calculation (I don't have the answer), but it does leave a lot of power out.
_2d30··on Maine is about to become the first state to ban major new data centers
Because it's Republican, obviously.
_2d30··on ChatGPT Pro now starts at $100/month
Pro used to be $200.
_2d30··on The Pentagon Threatened Pope Leo XIV's Ambassador with the Avignon Papacy
That many Protestants discriminated against Catholics != "founded on freedom to persecute Catholics"

I say this as an American Catholic who went to Catholic schools until college and knows full well about Catholic discrimination in US history. Protestants have discriminated against other protestants, everyone has discriminated against LDS, LDS has discriminated against everyone else, everyone has discriminated against Jews, Catholics have discriminated against <insert your choice of target here>, etc. These facts don't make up founding motives just because they are true.

_2d30··on The Pentagon Threatened Pope Leo XIV's Ambassador with the Avignon Papacy
"The colony... The US was explicitly not founded on religious tolerance, it was founded on freedom to persecute Catholics"

Seems a bit broken to claim that something that happened in 1689 when it was a colony, as you explicitly note, is fundamental to the founding of the nation a century later.

_2d30··on Muse Spark: Scaling towards personal superintelligence
I may already have but I'm pseudonymous on this website.
_2d30··on Muse Spark: Scaling towards personal superintelligence
Yes, this would make sense for what Meta might focus on.
_2d30··on Muse Spark: Scaling towards personal superintelligence
Playing with this some more and it's actively not good. Just basic mathematical errors riddling responses. Did some basic adversarial testing where its responses are analyzed by Gemini and Gemini is finding basic math errors across every relatively (relative to Opus, Gemini or GPT can handle) simple ask I make. Yikes.
_2d30··on Muse Spark: Scaling towards personal superintelligence
Ran some of my internal benchmarks against this and I'm very unimpressed. I don't think this moves them into the OAI v Anthropic v Gemini conversation at all.

Major analytical errors in their response to multiple of my technical questions.

_2d30··on OpenAI Acquires TBPN
A real loss.
_2d30··on Tailscale's new macOS home
I love Tailscale so much and when I got added to what may have been an A/B test for the windowed app, I was even happier with it. It's a great improvement.
_2d30··on Solar panels at Lidl? Plug-in versions set to appear in shops

_2d30··on Supreme Court Sides with Cox in Copyright Fight over Pirated Music
Frankly, I don't see how you can't parse that their point, as written, is "I'm on the side of bad guy A because bad guy B is worse than bad guy A" which is completely orthogonal to "A is in the right and B is in the wrong".
_2d30··on Supreme Court Sides with Cox in Copyright Fight over Pirated Music
I don't know maybe just be worried instead about being on the side of justice and what is right and not be so worried if that side has people you don't like on it.
_2d30··on China is mass-producing hypersonic missiles for $99,000
Maybe I'm crazy but isn't Ukraine also begging for the multi-million dollar weapons? Are Patriots and ATACMS not seen as highly valuable to them?

If anything, it's clear that a strategy of massing low-cost ballistic missiles and low-cost drones is a great way to provide hurt to neighbors (and maybe low-cost ICBMs will mean hurt to the world) but the US is proving in Iran and Ukraine, to a lesser extent, is proving in its defense that highly capable advanced systems are able to provide extreme offensive and defensive abilities.

Ukraine is also showing the value of low-cost drones in defense against drones! Something the US notably does not have and is suffering very real consequences for it.

_2d30··on Cross-Model Void Convergence: GPT-5.2 and Claude Opus 4.6 Deterministic Silence
There A LOT of esotericists/occultists writing research like this about AI today. It is heavily woo.
_2d30··on Tinybox – A powerful computer for deep learning
They answered your question with a pretty specific uptime target. Calling it a dodge and then moving the goalposts with a new question as your follow up doesn’t speak to you acting in good faith.
_2d30··on The Los Angeles Aqueduct Is Wild
May be more complex but it's less audacious.

The water systems for LA and San Francisco are really quite audacious even if they have less technical complexity than floating rail.

I've built ML systems way more complex than any of these but it's still way less ambitious and audacious.

_2d30··on HP trialed mandatory 15-minute support call wait times (2025)
If yours was instant, why would your AHT decline? Shouldn’t you be way faster? On many questions you would have saved over 3mins on network calls alone.
_2d30··on A data center opened next door. Then came the high-pitched whine
The aerial photo in the article makes the whole thing a little funny to me.
_2d30··on Obsession with growth is destroying nature, 150 countries warn
If you're going to quibble about OP's implied definition of "unchecked economic growth", then you should at least provide a better one that isn't just "economic growth".
_2d30··on Meta Platforms: Lobbying, dark money, and the App Store Accountability Act
I have no idea if Meta is driving these, but the only way it would make sense for them to do it is if they saw age-verification as inevitable and would prefer to pass on the costs/liability of implementation to the app store providers. If they didn't see them as inevitable, then it makes no sense for them to be pushing for these as they are fundamentally against their own growth.
