I'd sign up but none of the candy listed seems very unique or special, it seems like stuff you could pick up at your local Asian grocery. I think if people had a bit more of an idea what they were actually getting they would be more interested in putting down $. I don't want to pay 4x what I would pay here just so I could say it was 'shipped from Japan'.
Apple must not even test their operating systems on their own hardware. That or they released it knowing there was a HUGE bug like this. Either way, pathetic. I used to think their company was so great before they started focusing on iDevice sales and computer build quality dropped through the floor.
If I run this on my phone that is loaded up with apps and music, will it damage anything ? I've always wanted to jailbreak but didn't want to risk messing up my phone. I also heard jail breaking it causes your phone to become unstable and crash. Any truth ?
That was a great read. If I was Kevin I would give the coins back and not do business with MtGox any longer. It's clear their systems are not secure enough to handle these kind of transfers. It wouldn't surprise me if MtGox was influenced by organized crime, they are in Japan and the Yakuza love these kind of quasi-legal schemes as of late.
For people who need reliability, SSDs are clearly not the wise choice. For performance, they are, IF you are willing to replace them frequently (at GREAT expense) and have downtime. Not to mention solid backups. The cons far outweigh the pros for me. I like stable measured performance. My computer isn't a hot rod, it's meant to be efficient.
They just need a better distribution model for new movies and they would kill it completely. If I had to pay, say, 10c for a 24 hour new rental on top of the monthly I'd likely be using it all the time.
You used to be able to trust Apple for manufacturing quality. I now build my own for any work machines and only keep an iMac around for casual browsing/music/video. How the hell did this slip past basic TESTING ? This isn't the first manufacturing blunder that has been swept under the table with Apple, and it won't be the last. If you put down over $1000 for a computer, it should work.
