Also, why can't you make the database request in the request pipeline, right before that "if(hasAccess)" statement. You don't need JWT for this...
You are already wrapping all of your controllers...
No.
> (b) Does this mean that sqlite will now have the capability to do concurrent reads/writes, but that it is upto users to implement a process that can take advantage of this and create something like (a)?
Yes... this allows a multi-threaded application for example to have multiple readers/writers without blocking each other.
VirtualBox on MacOS is absolutely shit.
The cost of context switching between different tools because of it's licensing makes it a non-starter to use one for open source and the other for commercial work.
Granted, the cost of a tool is minuscule compared to the potential gains from speed of development, and any corporation that balks at paying for tools for their developers won't be in business very long, I still find myself penny pinching and using free and or open source tools, even if inferior or lacking in just one or two bits of functionality.
For example USB to Serial devices, or custom media devices, and more. I really don't expect kernel modules to go away.
Or do they not provide a control key on the keyboard?
Maybe they were overloaded from all of the additional traffic they got sent?
EFS is not even in the same ballpark in terms of speed :/
So large files work well, but if you have many smaller files it's killer.
We built our app to do caching locally into NVMe drives though, so we async pull data from EFS and push back as necessary.
Definitely going to give Filestore a spin and see if it is a good fit for our use cases.
It read like a comedy, but was so damn true.
There is a long list of people that I know that don't use Venmo because of the "social" crap. Please don't try to brush this as a "millennials don't care".
You can also change the default, although that seems to be an option I don't remember having when I first started using the app...
That is located in Settings -> Privacy... although you get a popup saying "You know you can change this per payment, you sure you want to do this" which to me feels weird and pushy.
I agree with Square Cash or other services, instead of Venmo since the whole idea of by default sharing my payments feels weird. Apple Pay works really well too if you and the recipient are both Apple users.
Now you can load balance across all your links without issues.
Routers gonna route.
Firewall is the one that would block that by saying "Sorry, but I shouldn't ever see packets destined for 10.10.10.0/24 on my eth0 interface".
And yes, your little router, is actually a router. It will dutifully take packets from one interface, look at it's routing table and figure where to spit it out. That's what it is supposed to do, NAT just adds a rule that says if a packet comes from eth1 and is destined for 0.0.0.0/0 (default route) out interface eth0 then we (the router) want to masquerade as if we are the source of that packet, so that this entire network looks as if it is coming from one single IP.
No firewall involved, and packets arriving on eth0 are going to get routed to eth1 all the same, since after all, we are a faithful little router.
This is how routing has worked since the dawn of time. Adding a firewall means we can say "but I should never see traffic destined to 10.10.10.0/24 on eth0, so drop it".
---
Either way, NAT may be part of the firewall but there is no requirement for it to be part of the firewall. When it comes to IPv6, just like IPv4, a firewall is required, and as soon as you have a firewall that blocks incoming traffic, then NAT becomes meaningless.
Mostly transparently?
Also, oil changes every 6 months was mainly used as an appropriate time frame in case someone forgot to watch their mileage, with an average of ~14k miles driven in a vehicle a year that averages an oil change every ~7k.
