At least here it seems to happen with the clear political agenda. Who needs evolution and democracy anyways other than those inconvenient to the indian government.
When your backend is server-side and doing something non-trivial, there is no copying without starting from scratch. Plus it's inner workings might be covered as trade secrets.
Generally, there is little to no value in ideas. Execution is what matters. Big players move slow, so that shouldn't be your biggest worry.
> How hard is it for employees to get promoted? > How hard is it for them to get fired?
What do you plan to take away from these questions? Would be more useful to atleast provide your good intentions on what you are looking for when asking.
Hope the push to the AWS walled garden doesn't eat them alive.
For me this reads like sensible government policy at work. If the fines of cleanup eat into profits and are not just a minuscule cost of doing business, they set it just right instead of plain forbid it outright.
Doesn't matter how you turn it, cryptocurrency is never replacing cash. Digital currency, maybe, but I would always take cash for any inperson transaction.
Facebook and Youtube on mobile are so packed with unappealing scams that I stop scrolling after 5min
Let's not kid ourselfs that is not a wild conspiracy or some socialist agenda. Ending corruption is in everybodies interest, except you are planing to yourself profit from that system by making strategic donations in your offsprings interest.
I would also put this in not newsworthy, since you clearly have to give it a role. Noone would call Christopher Waltz a Racist or Nazi if it was his right role to play one.
But of course we are going to get a shitstorm of clickbait-press and political "concern" over AI now that the posterchild went bad.

No I think this is the worst that could have happened short of loosing the clear-text passwords. Noone is going to stop the attackers from looking for high-value login URLs and than spear-phish the password for the offline vault.Forcing a password reset onto customers is not going to help LastPass here.
Twenty years ago we were free to do whatever we want, because it didn't matter. Nowadays everyone uses tech as much as they use stairs. You can't build stairs without railings though.
Keeping the window for abuse small is beneficial to the whole industry. Otherwise bad press will put pressure on politicians to "do something about it" resulting in faster and more excessive regulations.
I really don't get at whom this SSO-tax hate is directed at?
If you let your educational institutions squeeze every last penny of your future well-educated doesn't that also limit your countries ability to innovate?
If my paycheck would go entirely towards rent and debt payments, I for sure would look for a high paying corporate job instead of startup or freelance work.
High rates never hurt anyone, given that they actually deliver on it.
On a different note, it might be a worthwhile idea to put profiles behind extra protection. An extra click to see contact info verified by a smart captcha might be the least breaking change. @dang
Will every industry end up being the next printing/telco in the long run?
At the end the only way to win this cat & mouse game is to stand your ground before it starts.
Yeah I agree, but since the whole essay is pretty much a sales pitch for their product, that's to be expected.
Also first-stage dropper are almost always heavyly obfuscated to avoid detection. There isn't anything novel about this and the second-stage malware actually has reasonable detection rates.
Sure most CRUD applications work perfectly fine using WSGI, but for anyone using other protocols like WS or MQTT in their app this is kind of a big deal.
