I see this as a pro not a con. I want to be reassured that my vote was counted correctly. That is way more important to me than keeping my vote secret from anyone in the room.

I am no scientist, my question is this: wouldn't it be a zero sum game at best? You are taking C02 out of the atmosphere, turning it into fuel, which then is used in C02 emitting engines.
What is the yield though?
I haven't seen anything that even comes close to the cost savings with a Kyocera (not to mention their machines are work horses will print all day without issue). I can get a Kocera TK 3112 toner which yields 15,500 pages (and it actually does) for $66.
I don't know the answer to this question, but AMD does tend to be more "open" than their competitors (look at FreeSync vs Gsync). So maybe there is hope here.
But it has had the complete opposite affect. As much the charity might be a great and worthy cause, I will never support them and hope the fold simply so I don't ever have to hear that damn jingle again.
No their not, there Q2 financials had them in black.
I thought it was before that, like 1999. I pretty sure I had an Intel Pentium III 2 GHz processor in 99. The computer I am using to type this comment is 2.5 GHz. More's law is long dead, we aren't going to see 12 GHz machines in the next 6 years.
No it won't. The only wasted vote is voting for someone you don't believe in. Google Gary Johnson.
> President elected by only 15-17% of eligible voters would send a pretty good message
This would be largely ignored and not covered my mainstream media. It would go completely un-noticed by the vast majority.
Housing is the exception to this rule. Yes you want your investments to beat inflation, but unlike an index fund, or a stock, or a commodity, you need housing (you have to live somewhere). You have to either rent or buy (or live off the land in the woods, which can be illegal many places). When you rent you are throwing your money away, you will never see that money again, period. The one other alternative is to purchase, even if you lost a small percentage on your "investment" buying a home, isn't that better than just throwing your money in the trash and losing 100% of it? An investment that isn't great is still better than an investment that absolutely sucks.
We already have technology that, so far, is pretty much tamper proof that could easily be adapted for online voting. I would be highly skeptical/distrustful of any centralized voting system, but if there was a open ledger voting system that uses a blockchain, well I would be all for that as it would be extremely hard to tamper with, arguable harder to tamper with than with paper ballots.
