But, basically there is an LED screen that brightly “projects” the display onto a mirror. This is, in turn, reflected onto the back of the glass of the glass. You look through it.
In practice, the display you see ends up appearing about 10 feet in front of you as free floating text. Logically, you know the text is actually less then an inch from your eyeball but that doesn’t change how it looks to you visually.
From the front, people looking at you can not tell you aren’t wearing normal glasses. There isn’t any glow or reflection.
The effect is even better with the swimming goggles. It looks like the bubbles (from exhaling) is in between you and the AR text.
It was visible the whole time though, which was impassible. Like, I TRIED to shake these things off my head going over tree roots, lol
I agree they're expensive, especially since they aren't self contained like a typical bike head unit is. I keep comparing them to the Form swimming goggles - which are also AR. I feel those are totally worth it. But the Engo's are just a bit too expensive for what you get.
If your "friend" refuses to log out and re-reset it then the correct thing to do here is to report it to your homeowners insurance. Your friend basically stole your phone. Insurance should pay for it and then they can go after your friend to get their money back.
If the box is still in use (50+ calls made in the last year) then it's kept. If it's in an area with low mobile coverage it'll be converted to a free wi-fi hotspot. Otherwise it's free to be torn down or used by the community (they show a box being used as a tiny library).
With Form I see my heart rate in real time 100% of the time. I was worried I'd have a problem being near sighted but it really does look like the data is being projected 10 feet in front of me. It's a neat trick - my brain actually thinks that when I exhale the bubbles are in-between me and the projection, even though I know it obviously isn't.
My only complaint is that every single forking time I open the app it tries to upsell me on their structured training program for a monthly fee. Literally every time - I open the app and have to tap 'no thanks' before I can use it!
I participate in ultra endurance cycling. (1200km is my record!)
Most of the athletes are older, some participating into their 80s. It's a very time intensive sport so it's very hard to do with a young family. It's possible to do with just a bike so you see lower middle class people, but you'll also see upper middle class people with flashy bikes and all the gadgets.
It's hard, but mainly mental. Once you figure out the logistics it's just pedaling over and over and enjoying the scenery and either conversation or solitude depending on the ride.
And Cheese?! I'm not even in to cheese but my Instagram gets cheese posts because I follow some UK stuff. I don't know what this guy is on about.
It was a Series 3 and eventually died. I plan on getting this new Series 7 once it's available to purchase.
We're doing a translation now into Japanese and the translator is actually taking the time to look at screenshots and use the app to see the text in context. It makes a huge difference.
As you've pointed out, it's one thing to see the string "open" in a XLF file, it's quite another to realize it's intent. This requires setting up demo environments for each translator though.
Serious answer: the author has an "under construction" notice at the top of the page.
It's not at all uncommon for companies, even small ones, to pay 100% for the employee. Paying for spouses and children is much less common.
But are you American or European? :)
