TheAuditor··on [dead]
We were the first int he country to ever achieve this with an industry enabled release. The argument over this int he talk page is that "they would to trust Indian sources" So once all sources that does not fit the (western) wiki editors is considered non reliable, the editors decide personally on what is true and what is not.

If the article was badly built the community should have fixed it or are they expecting the people who know things to come in and edit content related to them?

Throwing away historic pages without due consideration or research is absolute shame.

(page was not prepared by us nor was it written up by anyone related to us)

TheAuditor··on Show HN: Glass – AI based customer relationship automation
If anyone would like to reach out to my team please do at blaise@getglass.co :) Would be happy to help figure out how to get through.
TheAuditor··on Hello artist, AI wont hold a candle to your genius. Breath easy
Which wont fundamentally classify as "Art". Magazines those use high quality human artists production will continue to sell in more value, simply because, what they contain are always unique and new. AI fails to render anything new other than a mashup of existing patterns. Human artists can re-imagine and re-contextualise. AI cant' :)

But here, the legal system is going to bit anyone who would fully use AI as they would be zero copyright or intellectual property rights attached with anything an AI creates unless they can prove that it came as a product of training on data they own and produced alone. If it involves general data online there wont be any intellectual rights they can claim for the creation. Hence making each copy of that worthless.

TheAuditor··on The Guardian : AI needs regulating before it’s too late
The fact that secret behaviors can be well concealed within a ML generated model makes it critical to start defining what can and can't be tried.
TheAuditor··on Open Source Maintainers Owe You Nothing (2018)
That is not true. As long as the software is not licensed, we do not have a legal right to use the code as it is an intellectual property of someone else. Using such code opens up the ability for the owner to sue us if he is in the right place with the right preparation.
TheAuditor··on Open Source Maintainers Owe You Nothing (2018)
Can't press this enough being someone who expected clear customer service than from OSS maintainers than understand it is a community effort. I was 13 then, but still was a pretty wrong thing to expect.
TheAuditor··on Ask HN: What problem should a digital product solve so you would pay $2 for it
Where would you like it saved from ?
TheAuditor··on Ask HN: What problem should a digital product solve so you would pay $2 for it
Yeh I know the pain. Both look and feel like am on eBay all over again.
TheAuditor··on Ask HN: Is it just me or does a lot of pip packages fail to install?
Hmmm. That sounds very reasonable. Probably my Arch setup doesn't make it any better.
TheAuditor··on Quasicrystals
Interest in quasi crystals, crystallography and quantum emergence seem to be on the rise.

Philosophical poetry and stuff. Not very regular.

TheAuditor··on AI is sending people to jail and getting it wrong
Was up for me when I shared. Might be the traffic.
TheAuditor··on How to hack an election
Sometimes tech can turn a nightmare when the probability of it's malfunction can impact everything in our lives.
TheAuditor··on Hello: A new social network founded by Orkut's creator

TheAuditor··on 9 reasons you should be using PyCharm
I can get most of that done with vim and the shell is just a ctrl-z away.

Not to mention every languge eer made would work fine with it.

TheAuditor··on Can we compress random data
you can get the data back. do read the article and paper published.
TheAuditor··on Can we compress random data
For simplicity lets assume the first three bytes are. 102 075 & 179

Now I am making few assumptions for a practical implementation of the technique.

PAT() = Units place of sum of all digits. (no claims made, just for an example)

Now I can replace the three bytes with the following values 033 and 036

I have also specially stated the challenges of retrieving this information as as of not there are no built in integrity checks.

TheAuditor··on Can we compress random data
Yes. That is the only claim I have made. You can replace the first three bytes with two bytes using this method.
TheAuditor··on Can we compress random data
Please note that data integrity checks will need additional data in the file. Hence it can never take the file to infinitely small proportions.
TheAuditor··on Can we compress random data
There is a minimum size required size for the file (cant be compressed beyond a few bytes - even if repeatedly applied) and the argument is only valid when we assume the files can be compressed to zero bytes.

no claim is made to the effect saying "Can be compressed indefinitely"

As I have told, the efficiency of it being able to compress over and over and over again may have chance for data corruption unless better checks and methods are added. (which will again increase the minimum required file size. but you can still compress it)

TheAuditor··on Why founders should burn the bridges
Can't label it bad advice, because it certainly did help many and for some other it was a red line. No advice in the world of startups should be absorbed as is. :)
TheAuditor··on Why founders should burn the bridges
Nothing in a entrepreneurs life is objective. Nor can any experience be generalized. We all have to make our of decisions and work with it.
TheAuditor··on File system that stores location of file in Pi
I know :D I tried it for past 6 months and then gave up on it 2 months back, for the same reason. how ever that search gave rise to a better idea to compress files. Not yet usable but don't have all these issues with it. If you are interested you can read it at https://www.academia.edu/7620004/Advanced_Compression_Techni... It is based on data being represented as a position and not as the values in a computable number series .
TheAuditor··on File system that stores location of file in Pi
I had played with this idea some time back and gave up after some very specific flaws came became clear.

The good probability that a 5 digit combination is found in Pi will be in the range of locations above 10000, for example I once located by 6 digit phone number in position 685214 which was not actually helpful at all.

Further we are not sure if Pi is normal hence the better idea would be use a simple computable normal series.

It was just yesterday I uploaded a paper that presents a idea for Compressing Random Data to -> https://www.academia.edu/7620004/Advanced_Compression_Techni... which proposes an Idea to push multiple bytes represented by a positions in a computable number series into small representation and generate them on the go when required. (need lot of improvement to actually apply)

TheAuditor··on Inside the Network18 takeover
So again. Why is it not a story here? Either you did not read the article or you did not understand the inner currents, politics and business strategies involved. Read again.
TheAuditor··on Inside the Network18 takeover
why is it not for this forum ?
TheAuditor··on How we stopped the resume plague
clarification : The difference seen in the expected % is because the method used for calculating was not that one of the candidates did not respond but was based on the number of exchanges we had with them and if did respond. One of the candidates later stopped replying after a few discussions. So when we did (No that we got response)/(No communications) * 100 we ended up with a 98+ value which we rounded to 99. :D
TheAuditor··on Indian College suspends students for eating in class: Orders enquiry
Respect for others in class is shown by not disturbing or interrupting the class. While the decision to follow the class or not lies with the individual. Seems they were just on their of and not in any way disrupting the class for others. To force students to pay attention in class is a stupid idea because learning is a voluntary process.

Further making it into such a huge issue actually reflects on the immaturity of people involved.

TheAuditor··on Full Screen Mario Takedown Notice
If they wanted to Nintento could have actually made use of the programmer to create a new empire in HTML gaming in partnership. But they choose to go for the same old 'its my stuff'.
