Sunlis··on The Invisible Bank: How Kenya Has Beaten the World in Mobile Money
I don't know much about Bitcoin, but I think the distinction is in how many people are using the service. A big part of that seems to be platform compatibility. These people are able to use it on their cheap Nokia cell phones rather than needing a computer to use Bitcoin. The impression I got from the article was that payments are done via text message, so you may not even need a data plan for it.
Sunlis··on JavaScript game of Tron in 219 bytes
Check out my version, only 10 bytes.

GAME OVER.

It's not very playable, but "who cares"?

Sunlis··on Kittydar – Face detection for cats
I found that I couldn't drag the sample images into the box, but dragging from my file system did the trick.

Still failed miserably when detecting the faces though (and I was even using one of their test images).

Sunlis··on Little Big Details
Could you provide an example of something that is worse on Android that doesn't depend on your preference? I moved from an iPhone to an Android almost a year ago and found the Android OS and most of the apps much easier to use than on my iPhone (knowing where to find settings for different apps was a big thing). That doesn't mean that Android is better than iOS, it just means that I prefer it.
Sunlis··on Md5crypt is no longer strong enough
What would be the point of hashing on the client? Let's say you're using md5, and you hash the password before you send it. Chances are, that un-salted hash can be easily decrypted by any number of reverse-lookup tables around online. You can't salt the hash client side, because anyone can look at your JS and find your salting tactic.

The best approach to securing information going from client to server is SSL.

Sunlis··on Physical tactile buttons for touch screen devices
I've taught myself to type without looking on my Android (holding it portrait too, not landscape). I do rely pretty heavily on the auto-correct feature to help prevent gibberish, though.
Sunlis··on Steve Jobs on the File System
It's been a while since I've used an iPhone, but I seem to remember there were apps on the App Store that gave you (non-root) access to your files. Jailbreaking could, of course, get you root access.
Sunlis··on Why business needs people with Asperger’s syndrome, ADD and dyslexia
I thought the same thing. If there's anything a good programmer shouldn't be doing, it's repetitive tasks. If you're coding the same thing over and over again, you're doing it wrong.
